    • PURPOSE:To enhance line efficacy of a deodorizer of a small air conditioner which has a restraint of the available space and the capacity of the fan, by attaching a deodorant on the inner wall located on the upstream side of the airflow of an evaporator of the air-conditioner and adjacent to the evaporator. CONSTITUTION:The drawing shows the cross-section of an indoor unit of a small air-conditioner. Air enters the indoor unit through a suction grille 1, passes through a pre-filter 4 and a fan 2 to an evaporator 3 where heat exchange takes place, and is discharged from an air outlet 5. A deodorant 6 is a metallic porous substance composed of iron-ascorbic acid and attached on the inner wall adjacent to the evaporator 3. Iron is treated with ascorbic acid, citric acid, etc., to produce the deodorant 6 in which metal and reaction products coexist. The deodorant 6 is capable of absorbing and decomposing odor components and its efficacy lasts for a long time period. As the air retained inside is deodorized during stoppage of the air-conditioner, the deodorizer is excellent in economy and efficacy with simple method and can be additionally attached to the air-conditioner without changes in design such as an increase in the capacity of the fan 2 to compensate the pressure drop.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance bonding strength by restraining one end of a metallic base plate and holding the other end thereof with a spring body and arranging the ceramics pieces via brazing material and fitting a presser plate thereon via the spring body and thereafter heating the whole body to braze it. CONSTITUTION:A base plate 2 made of metal is fixed to a fixed frame 5 made of stainless steel so that the base plate 2 can be extended and contracted to the directions of the sides 2c, 2d by a heat resistant spring body 6. Brazing material 21 is interposed on this base plate 2 and the ceramics pieces 1 such as metallized Si3N4 are arranged. A heat resistant spring body 3 is placed on the ceramics pieces 1 and a presser plate 4 is fitted thereon. This presser plate 4 can be extended and contracted to the directions of the sides 4c, 4d by a heat resistant spring body 7 and furthermore is fitted to the fixed frame 5 so that it can be raised by a heat resistant spring body 3. Then the whole body is introduced into a furnace in this state and heated at about 840 deg.C for about 30 minutes in the argon atmosphere to perform brazing and joining and thereby a composite body of ceramics and metal is obtained.
