    • PURPOSE:To eliminate malfunction by generating a defferent warning tone when a run speed is set and reset. CONSTITUTION:A speed calculating circuit 60 calculates a vehicle speed by the cooperation between a clock circuit 60 and a speed sensor 50. When an operation switch 10 is operated in said state, a latch circuit 20 generates a latch circuit 20 generates a latch signal and a set vehicle speed storage circuit 70 is stored with the value of a vehicle speed signal from a speed calculating circuit 60 as a set vehicle speed. Further, the NOR gate 42 of a warning sound selection signal generating circuit 40 generates the 1st warning sound selection signal with the operation signal from the operation switch 10 and a speaker 92 is driven by the signal to generate the 1st warning sound. When the operation switch 10 is operated for >=4 seconds, the set vehicle speed in the set vehicle speed storage circuit 70 is reset and the 2nd warning tone different from the 1st warning tone is generated subsequently after the 1st warning sound is generated.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a passanger to confirm the setting and releasing of a set vehicle speed so that the practical use of a vehicle speed setting device is enhanced, by providing such an arrangement that an alarm similar to a first alarm which is issued for a predetermined time when the vehicle speed exceeds a set vehicle speed, is issued for a predetermined time, and as well, a second alarm is issued even when the set vehicle speed is released. CONSTITUTION:When a setting switch 4 is continuously depressed for a predetermined setting time (for example, less than 5sec) during running of a vehicle, a set/reset discriminating circuit 10 selects a melody in an alarm selecting circuit 11 so that an alarm is beeped for 5min. Simultaneously, a vehicle speed value which is measured by a vehicle speed measuring circuit 6 is stored, as a set vehicle speed, in a set vehicle speed memory circuit 7. When a vehicle speed comparing circuit 8 detects such a condition that a detected vehicle speed value by a vehicle speed detector 3 exceeds the set vehicle speed, the selecting circuit 11 selects the melody A which is beeped for 5sec. Then, when the setting switch 4 is continuously depressed for a resetting time (for example, more than 5sec), a melody B is selected by the selecting circuit 11 in the similar manner and is beeped for 10sec.

Since the operating speed of each fixture can be varied with correspondence to the situation, the feeling under usage is improved resulting in improvement of operationability.
