摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover having a polarity key for a connector capable of imparting a large number of variations to the polarity key to prevent erroneous fitting. SOLUTION: A cover 1 having a polarity key for a connector is composed of a square frame 10 running along an outer periphery of a front end surface 4a of a plug type fitting part 4 of a connector 2 and a pair of side plates 12 which extend at an almost right angle from a side frame 11 of this square frame 10 and are opposed to each other at an interval corresponding to a width of the plug type fitting part 4. A recess-projection-shaped polarity key part 8 formed of a high step part 14a and a low step part 14b is arranged on an outer wall of an upper side frame 13 of the square frame 10, and an opening part 16 capable engaging with a projecting part 17 formed on a side wall of the plug type fitting part 4, is formed in the side plates 12, and can be installed in the plug type fitting part 4 so as to be mountable-demountable.

SOLUTION: An optical fiber portion to connect an optical wiring board end with the optical coupling part is covered over the whole area, and the coating of the optical fiber is performed by using at least either of an adhesive, and a tube or a thermally shrinking tube. Either of the optical wiring board end or an optical coupling part end has a projecting part or a notched part to lock the thermally shrinking, tube. Moreover, a cut is made in at least one of the optical wiring board, the tube, or the optical coupling part.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high density mounting, to facilitate assembling and repairing operation, and to improve mechanical strength of a back plane. SOLUTION: A back plane 10 covers an opening on the back face of a bookshelf type rack. On the inward face 10A of the rack of this back plane, there is mounted a fiber sheet 11, electric connectors 13 and optical connectors 14. A connecting part led out from this fiber sheet is optically connected to the optical connectors. The connecting part is bent with a radius of curvature above a range unaffecting optical transmission loss, with the optical connector provided at the tip end projectingly and vertically to the back plane. The electric connectors 7 and optical connectors 8 on an opto-electric composite board 5 are connected, through the plug-in operation of the board, to the optical connectors 14 which are freely movable in the direction of the electric connectors and the face of the back plane. The optical connectors 8 or 14 are freely movable in the inserting/extracting direction of the opto-electric composite board.
