A plurality of ground conductors is provided, each ground conductor has a first contact end connectable to a printed circuit board, a second contact end, and an intermediate part therebetween that is disposed in the insulative housing, the ground conductors are disposed along a second side of the insulative posts, and the signal conductors and the ground conductors are electrically isolated from each other.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved lower profile electric connector. SOLUTION: The thin profile electric connector assembly includes an insulation member of a frame shape having opposing end parts and opposing leg members. A plurality of connector elements arranged neighboring and separated are structured at least one of the leg members. Each of the connector elements is held in the leg member and moreover includes a lower arm ending up at a contract tale extending outward from an outer side of the leg member, and an elastic arm extending toward the opposing leg member at an obtuse angle from the lower arm. The elastic arm ends up at an elastic contact nose extending upward from an upper surface of the leg member. The insulator includes an open space between the opposing leg members, thereby the elastic arm of the connector element is pushed into the open space when the connector assembly is in use, and the connector assembly has a profile height at use essentially corresponding to the thickness of the leg member.
