CONSTITUTION:An alcohol-soluble polyamide which is a copolyamide or a soluble polyamide [e.g., N-methoxymethylated polyamide substituted with N- methoxymethyl groups (10-40%)] is brominated to obtain a brominated alcohol- soluble polyamide (c). 100pts.wt. mixture of an epoxy resin (a) of an epoxy equivalent of 100-2,000 (e.g., bisphenol A epoxy resin) with 0.6-1.5 equivalent, per equivalent of the epoxy groups of component (a), of a curing agent (b) (e.g., diaminodiphenylmethane) is mixed with 100-500pts.wt. component (c), and, optionally, a filler, a pigment and other functional materials (d) to obtain the title composition of a bromine content >=15wt.%.
