    • PURPOSE:To uniformize the sticking amount of a sizing agent in a strand cake of glass fiber by continuously reducing the application amount of the sizing agent applied on single fiber of glass according to the time elapsed from the start of winding a strand in the case of producing the strand cake of glass fiber. CONSTITUTION:A sizing agent 1 is applied on the surfaces of the many fine filaments F of glass fiber which are obtained by drawing fused glass through a bushing provided with many nozzles by rotating a rotary roller 3 partially immersed into the polyester-base emulsion type sizing agent 1 incorporated in a vessel 2 to the direction A and acting the rotary roller 3 as a coating roller 4 and the filaments are bundled to form a strand and wound onto a tube on a collet to produce the strand cake of glass fiber. In this case, the sticking amount of the sizing agent in the inner and outer parts of the cake is made constant by continuously reducing the amount of the sizing agent applied on the filament F of single fiber of glass according to the time elapsed from the start of winding the strand onto the tube.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor panel which is high in sound insulation properties, contributes to uniform room heating effect and improved room heating efficiency, and facilitates construction and maintenance thereof, and to provide a floor structure using the floor panel. SOLUTION: The floor structure 2 is set up by laying a number of floor panels 10 on a base floor 4. Each floor panel 10 is formed of an impermeable floor material 12 being cut to a predetermined dimension, and a cushion material 11 bonded to a lower surface of the floor material 12. The cushion material 11 is formed with support threads each having upper and lower edges thereof to upper and lower net portions and diagonally arranged in predetermined directions. Then the periphery of the entire cushion materials of the floor panels 10 continuously laid on the basic floor 4 is blocked, and a peripheral blocking portion has formed therein an air introducing opening and an air discharging opening, to thereby secure an air passage inside the cushion materials 11. Further an air conditioner air blowout port 31 of an air conditioner unit 30 is connected to the air introducing opening. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT

    • PURPOSE:To uniformize the quantity of attached sizing agent, prevent the occurrence of troubles such as yarn breakage and fluffing and reduce the production cost, by applying a sizing agent to filaments formed from molten glass, collecting the filaments into a strand and winding the strand to form a glass fiber cake on a tube while spraying a large amount of water, etc., to the surface of the cake. CONSTITUTION:Glass fiber filaments 2 are produced by spinning a molten glass through a bushing provided with a number of nozzles. A sizing agent 3 is applied to the filaments 2 via an actively rotating roller 5 with a sizing agent applicator 1 having a container 4 containing the sizing agent 3 and having an inlet port 6 and an over-flow discharging port 7. The coated filaments are collected with a collector 8 into a strand 9, which is traversed with a traversing apparatus 10 and wound on a tube 12 on a collet 11 rotating at a high speed to form a glass fiber cake 13. In the course of the formation of the cake 13 on the tube, the surface of the cake 13 is sprayed with water or an aqueous solution containing about 0.05-0.5wt.% of a glass fiber surface- treating agent through spray nozzles 14a-14c and dried. The quantity of the water or the aqueous solution is made to be larger at both ends having high migration than at the face forming the middle part of the cake.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the glass cloth having excellent impregnation property for resin and less strain existing in its inside by using untwisted glass thread having a specified weight per unit length for at least one of warps and wefts. CONSTITUTION:In the glass cloth used for the laminate utilized as the base plate of a printed wiring board, etc., at least one of the warp and weft constituting the glass cloth, is caused to be the untwisted glass thread with the weight of 2.5-240g/1,000m. The untwisted glass threads are many bundled threads without twisting glass filament. In the concrete, molten glasses are quickly drawn out from a plurality of nozzles of a bushing, and they are coated with a sizing agent. After said threads have been bundled together, they are wound on a paper or plastic tube by a winder. Thus obtained glass fiber bundle, e.g. a strand is used. The untwisted glass thread may be used for any one of the warp and weft or for both of the warp and weft. In the weaving machine weaving the glass cloth by using the untwisted glass thread, an air jet weaving machine is preferable from the points of the quality of the glass cloth having been woven and its productivity.
