CONSTITUTION:The reduction brake pressure PRD/S is supplied to perform, eliminating the direct clutch pressure PD/C. For example, at the time of speed change of 4 3, if the automatic variable speed range is normal, an orifice cancel valve 18 cut off a by-pass circuit 17, and a one way orifice 16 controls the rising speed so as to delay the fastening. But if the speed change in 4 3 down shift is accompanied with the engine brake command, the orifice cancel valve 18 opens the by-pass circuit 17 with the III range pressure PIII, and the reduction brake pressure rises quickly so as to quickly fasten the reduction brake RD/B. Consequently, the speed change in down shift is performed without the engagement of the reduction one way clutch RD/OWC, and the feeling of physical disorder generated by the delay of engine brake after the speed change can be eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To improve torque detecting accuracy, by fixing and arranging first and second coils, which can form magnetic circuits between first and second torque detecting surfaces at positions closely facing first and second grooves, which are set at a positive or negative slant angle with respect to the axial direction, separately. CONSTITUTION:Under the state torque is not applied to a shaft 1, an AC power source 32 for a measuring part 2B is turned ON.     • PURPOSE:To improve cooling effect of operation oil by means of an oil cooler in a low speed stage of an automatic transmission. CONSTITUTION:An oil passage 112 through which oil is discharged for adjusting a pressure from a pressure regulator valve 40 is connected to line pressure oil passage 100 of an oil pump 34 through a first orifice 150. A flow rate switching valve 124 and a second orifice 152 are parallelly arranged upstream of an oil cooler 36. The flow rate switching valve 124 can be selectively switched to an interruption position with which the valve is closed and the oil is supplied to the oil cooler 36 only through the second orifice 152, and a communication position with which the oil is supplied while bypassing the second orifice 152. The flow rate valve 124 is switched based on the speed pressure of an automatic transmission. It is switched to the communication position under the first, second and third speed, while switched to the interruption position under the fourth speed.

    • PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of a pump, while its good workability of assembly is ensured, with clearance control of a drive gear by rotating it by a gear drive shaft providing only a function of transmitting drive power with a gear supporting function provided in a pump housing. CONSTITUTION:A drive gear 41 and a gear drive shaft 43, engaged only in a direction of rotation, can be displaced in a rotary shaft direction and a diametric direction by meshing an engaging pawl 41a of the drive gear 41 with an engaging notch 43a of the gear drive shaft 43. That is, because of connecting structure having only a function of transmitting drive power, looseness for the drive gear 41 is absorbed by this connecting structure eliminating the looseness, so that a seal clearance can be small set of an external gear pump 4 improving pump efficiency. While because the drive gear 41 is supported to a shaft part 40a of a pump housing 40, the axial center of the drive gear 41 and the axial center of a seal surface are aligned for the pump housing 40, so that the alignment can be easily further high accurately performed by a dimensional control at manufacture time.
