The formwork 4 is made up of a pair of circular arc-shaped formworks 11 and a pair of intermediate formworks 12 vertically set at intervals by connecting the opening chord members of the formwork 11. A concrete- placing port 13 is formed in the intermediate wall frame 16 set between the formworks 12, and concrete is placed to the space between the formworks 12 and also to the space between the ground 6 and the formworks 11 from the port 13 through a concrete-placing tube, during which period the formwork 4 is set in order. After concrete hardens, the rearmost formwork 4 is removed and reset on the top position for repeated use. The lining work of tunnel can thus be constructed at a time without the subsidence of the ground and without use of expensive segments.

As a result, by using the excavated earth from facing, a construction cost can be lowered.
