摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording paper having excellent heat sensitivity, excellent storage stability, and high fixability, by using a binder having an alkali solubility but an acid insolubility for the developer layer of a thermally developable diazo type recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A developer layer 2, in which a basic substance, e.g, an inorganic or organic ammonium salt, an organic amine, etc., as developers is dispersed or dissolved in a binder having an alkali solubility but an acid insolubility, e.g., isobutylene-maleic anhydride copolymer, ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer, casein, etc., is formed on a support 1, and a photo-sensitive layer 3 containing a diazonium salt is further formed on the developer layer 2. A coupling agent is incorporated in one or both of the photo-sensitive layer 3 and the developer layer 2. Also, the developer layer 2 may be formed after forming the photo-sensitive layer 3, or a partition wall layer 4 of paraffin wax, etc., may be interposed between the both layers.

摘要： PURPOSE:To evaluate the color-development property of the thermal recording body precisely and easily by pressing a transparent electrode on the thermal recording body to be evaluated, heating the same through electrification and measuring the state of color-development of the recording body by means of an optical-density measuring device through the transparent electrode. CONSTITUTION:The thermal recording body 6 to be evaluated held between the transparent electrodes 2 and 3 is mounted on a supporting base plate 7, while weights 4 and 5 are placed on the transparent electrode 2 to press the latter on the recording body 6. Meanwhile, the photoreceiving part 16 of the optical-density measuring device 1 is arranged above the transparent electrode 2. By using the aforesaid device, first the transparent evaporation film 11 of the electrode 3 is electrified to raise the initial temperature of the recording body 6 to a fixed value (e.g. 30 deg.C), then the transparent evaporation film 10 of the electrode 2 is heated through electrification thereof to heat recording body 6, and, while the temperature of the recording body 6 is measured by a thermocouple 20, the density of the color development of the recording body 6 is measured by the optical-density measuring device 1 simultaneously, whereby the color-development property of thermal recording body is obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To easily obtain an optically recording medium having high sensitivity, contrast ratio, resolution and stability, capable of performing recording with semiconductor laser of longer wavelengths, and reducing a device in size by forming an org. thin film contg. a squalilium dye on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A squalilium dye represented by formula I (where X is a chromophore), e.g. the dye of formula II is vacuum deposited on a substrate such as a polyester film, glass or Al to form a thin film of about 0.2mu thickness. This film is irradiated with light of relatively longer wavelengths (650-750nm) such as He-Ne laser beams, and the exposed part is removed by sublimation to perform recording. The resulting recording body has a high contrast ratio of readout of transmission mode and reflection mode, consumes less energy for readount, and gives >=1,000 lines/cm resolution. The used dye has sublimability at about 280 deg.C, >=300 deg.C m.p. and >=370 deg.C decompositon temp., so it is vapor depositied easily. This recording body has a enhanced S/N ratio.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the recording medium whereon recording is performed in a stable manner by a method wherein a thin film whose main constituents are C and S is formed on a substrate through electric discharge in CS2 gas and the transformation of concavities, the change of optical density, etc. are caused by irradiation of an energy beam, such as a laser beam. On this recording medium 9 is irradiated an energy beam such as a laser beam, a flash light and electron rays and recording is performed on the basis of the resultant change in optical density and refractive index.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide water ink for jet printing, which does not cause clogging, by dissolving a water-soluble dye having a specified formula together with a mildewproofing agent and a wetting agent in water, the inorg. impurity content of said dye being adjusted to a specified amount. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble dye of the formula, a mildewproofing agent and a wetting agent are dissolved in water to produce water ink, said dye containing 0.5wt% or less inorg. impurities. The removal of the inorg. impurities from said dye can be conducted by recrystallizing said dye from ethanol. An example of said mildewproofing agent is 2-pyridinethiol 1-oxide sodium salt (sodium omadine) which is added in an amount of 0.05-5wt%. An example of said wetting agent is ethylene glycol which is added in an amount of 10-30wt%. If desired, a chelating agent may be added. In this way, the clogging of nozzles and filters due to the association of the dye or mildewing can be prevented.
