    • PURPOSE:To provide a gas shielded arc welding torch of the MAG welding method capable of forming a defectless welding bead by using two wires in high speed fillet welding, high current welding, etc. CONSTITUTION:In a gas shielded arc welding torch by which twin arcs are allowed to generate by feeding two consumable electrode wires 1a and 1b, two shielded gas holes 10a and 10b in a position where they are opposed to wire holes 8a and 8b, a wire hole on the upper part of a gas hole, and a shielded gas introducing hole 11 piercing the gas hole, are provided. Further, an outer cover 3 is provided in the intermediate part of a welding torch main body to make a dual pipe construction. Projections 14a and 14b with a height 0.4 to 0.9 times the gap of a cooling part, are provided on this intermediate shaft 4. Consequently, there is no generation of a blowhole, etc., a satisfactory bead appearance can be attained, maintaining a stable arc phenomenon, and the improvements of welding quality and work efficiency, and a cost reduction are possible.

    • PURPOSE:To perform multiple electrode gas shielded arc welding of high quality with high efficiency by discharging shielding gas below from through-holes of a ceramics plate to protect arc atmospheres of the torch main body tips from the air. CONSTITUTION:Torch main bodies 2 and 2 and shielding cups 3 are made of a copper alloy and have cooling fluid paths 4 inside and the shielding cups 3 have an opening 5 on the work 11 side. The ceramics plate 6 attachable and detachable provided with plural through holes 10 for discharging shielding gas and >= two through holes for fitting the torch main bodies vertically to the plate surface on an inside ceiling part of the opposite side to the work 11 and a torch holding block 7 having airtightness made of insulating material above the ceiling part are provided. The shielding gas 8 is discharged below from the through-holes 10 of the ceramics plate 6, and the arc 9 atmospheres of the torch main body 2 tips and a high temperature part of a molten pool and a weld bead 12 can be protected from the air by the shielding gap of laminar flow on the shielding cup opening.

    • PURPOSE:To perform economical multiple electrode arc welding of high quality by providing plural torch fitting holes and many gas discharge holes on a ceiling plate of a shielding cup and using these in combination of plural torches having contact tip tilt pedestals. CONSTITUTION:Both torch main bodies 1 and the shielding cup 2 are made of a copper alloy and have paths 3 of cooling fluid. The plural fitting holes 13 for the torch main bodies and the many shielding gas discharge holes are provided on the ceramics ceiling plate 5 of the shielding cup 2. A torch holding block 6 made of insulating material incorporates a shielding gas path 7 and is fitted into the upper part of the cup 2. The contact tip tilt pedestals 14 are fitted on the torch main body 1 tips. The torch main bodies 1 are penetrated and fitted into the torch holding block 6 and the shielding cup 2 and connected to a power source and a gas supply source. A tilt angle of the plural tip tilt pedestals 14 and wire extension are adjusted and arcs are started. High efficiency is attained with multiple electrodes, the quantity of gas consumed is reduced and the quantities of spatters stuck also can be extremely reduced.
