    • PURPOSE:To perform a flash welding without scattering the spatter outside, by giving the rotary drive to each sealing plate provided to the conductor or the member connected to the mobile and fixed upper and lower electrodes each in order to cover the welding part. CONSTITUTION:The cylinders 18 and 19 are actuated to rotate the sealing plates 1 and 3 which cover the upper parts of the upper electrode 8 of the mobile side and the upper electrode 8' of the fixed side respectively. And the plate 1 is set to ride on the insulated plate 5 on the plate 3 while performing the welding to prevent the outside scattering of the spatter at the upper part of the strip 25. On the other hand, the sealing plate 10 is rotated by the cylinder 20 to secure a contact to the insulated plate 12 of the lower electrode stand of the mobile side to prevent the outside scattering of the spatter at the lower part of the lower electrodes 9 and 9'. When no welding is given to the strip 25, the plates 1, 3 and 10 are set under the state as shown by the 1-dot chain lines. Thus the passing is made possible for the rotary shears which cuts the strip before welding or the trimmer which eliminates the fins.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain good steel strip products with eliminating the unstabilized straightening part generated on a strip steel at the operation starting and finishing times by giving to a leveller roll the specified state of rolling reduction at the operation starting and finishing times. CONSTITUTION:The operation is executed by arranging a deflector roll 3 on the outlet side of leveller roll group 2, speed detector 4, the intermesh setters 9, 10, 11, 12 to perform position setting and the arithmetic unit 13 to set up the intermesh of each leveller roll 5, 6, 7, 8 according to the movement of the strip steel with operating the strip steels position by speed detecting signal. At the operation starting time of the tension leveller, the rolling reduction is applied by bringing into contact with the strip steel the rolls in order from the leveller roll 5 of the inlet side by setting to the passing through the prescribed position of the strip steel and at the completion time the rolls are released in order from the strip steel from the leveller roller of the inlet side by setting to the passing through the prescribed position of the strip steel. The camber and shape change at the starting and finishing times of tension levelling are thus prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To control a tension leveler so as to maintain an L camber within a permissible range and to improve yield by adjusting automatically an intermesh, deflector roll gap and elongation percentage during passing of a strip. CONSTITUTION:The plate thickness signal 9 detecting 8 the plate thickness of a strip 8, the speed signal 10 detected with a speed detector 10 and the tension signal 18 detected with a tension detector 4 are inputted to an arithmetic device 11. The device 11 calculates the adequate values of the respective intermeshes A-A' of correcting rolls 3-3', the gap B of respective deflector rolls 19 facing the rolls 3-3' and further set elongation percentage C from the plate thickness, speed and tension in a leveler roll group 2 obtd. by tracking calculation from the signal 9 and the signal 10 so as to obtain an adequate L camber value and an adequate actual elongation percentage. An intermesh setter 15, a deflector roll gap setter 16, etc. are operated by the intermesh setting signal 12, deflector roll gap setting signal 13 and elongation percentage setting signal 14 corrected by the calculation, by which the intermesh, deflector roll gap and elongation percentage are corrected.

    • PURPOSE:To instantaneously measure the adhesion quantity of rust preventing oil to a steel plate in-line, by measuring the quantity of fluorescence emitted from the rust preventing oil by exciting light allowed to irradiate the steel strip coated with the anticorrosion oil. CONSTITUTION:When the exciting light emitted from a light source device 4 is allowed to irradiate a steel strip 8 through a glass fiber 6 and the exciting light projector 2 of a measuring head 1, fluorescence is generated from the rust preventing oil adhered to the steel strip 8 corresponding to the adhesion quantity of the rust preventing oil. The intensity of the quantity of fluorescence is detected by a fluorescence quantity counter 5 through the fluorescence quantity receiver 3 of the measuring head 1 and the glass fiber 6 and a count number is digitally displayed. Further, by connecting the adhesion quantity operation apparatus 7 incorporated in a microcomputer to the fluorescene quantity counter 5, the adhesion quantity of the rust preventing oil is operated from the output value of the count number of the quantity of fluorescence on the basis of the characteristic data of a calibration curve by the adhesion quantity operation apparatus and digitally displayed, for example, is a gram number per square meter.
