    • PURPOSE:To display a defective part of a metallic plate which can be utilized industrially stably by detecting the defective part of the metallic plate by a metal flaw detector, and bringing a friction tool into contact with the defective part and giving a friction trace. CONSTITUTION:A surface flaw detector 2 and a plate thickness and width detector 3 are provided on the upstream side of a conveyance path for a steel belt 1 and the defective part of the steel belt 1 in movement is detected to input the detection result to a controller 4. The running speed of the steel belt 1, on the other hand, is inputted to the controller 4 by a pulse generator 5. When the defective part of the steel belt 1 reaches the installation position of a friction roll 6 at the downstream side of the detectors 2 and 3, the controller 4 sends an operation signal to a hydraulic cylinder 7. A push-up roll 8 is elevated through the operation of the cylinder 7 to move a position 8a. The steel belt 1 is therefore, pressed up to a position 1a to contact the friction roll 6 in rotation. Consequently, the defective part surface of the steel late 1 is rubbed and luster different from other parts is given, thereby indicating the defective part.

    • PURPOSE:To instantaneously measure the adhesion quantity of rust preventing oil to a steel plate in-line, by measuring the quantity of fluorescence emitted from the rust preventing oil by exciting light allowed to irradiate the steel strip coated with the anticorrosion oil. CONSTITUTION:When the exciting light emitted from a light source device 4 is allowed to irradiate a steel strip 8 through a glass fiber 6 and the exciting light projector 2 of a measuring head 1, fluorescence is generated from the rust preventing oil adhered to the steel strip 8 corresponding to the adhesion quantity of the rust preventing oil. The intensity of the quantity of fluorescence is detected by a fluorescence quantity counter 5 through the fluorescence quantity receiver 3 of the measuring head 1 and the glass fiber 6 and a count number is digitally displayed. Further, by connecting the adhesion quantity operation apparatus 7 incorporated in a microcomputer to the fluorescene quantity counter 5, the adhesion quantity of the rust preventing oil is operated from the output value of the count number of the quantity of fluorescence on the basis of the characteristic data of a calibration curve by the adhesion quantity operation apparatus and digitally displayed, for example, is a gram number per square meter.
