    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to treat water drained from a step of manufacturing cold-rolled steel sheets at high efficiency after pressurized floatation by treating drained water using microbes acclimatized with the help of activated mud or sludge for treating sewage and industrial waste water in a fluidized bed-type bioreactor. CONSTITUTION:An activated mud mixed liquid for treatment of sewage and industrial waste water is poured into a fluidized bed-type bioreactor 1, and water drained from a cold-rolled steel sheet manufacturing step is gradually supplied while maintaining the conditions suited for the decomposition of a COD component contained in the drained water after pressurized floatation. Thus, microbes which decompose the COD component by oxidation are allowed to proliferate easily. In this case, if a suspended substance which contains a sufficient amount of flocculating agent generated at the time of pressurized floatation is added thereto, activated mud is granulated, then the washout of useful microbes decrease and the microbes are easily acclimatized. As described, water drained from a step of manufacturing the cold-rolled steel sheet after pressurized floatation is treated by using the microbes which decompose the COD component used for the acclimation and culture of the microbe.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a large-scale reactor and provide a reactor easy to maintain and applicable to treatment of the waste liq. containing a large amt. of surfactant by treating the waste liq. with activated sludge or microorganisms through a fixed bed type bioreactor in treating the waste liq. resulting from the process of manufacturing cold rolled steel plate after the pressure flotation treatment. CONSTITUTION:A method for biological treatment of the waste liq. resulting from the process of manufacturing cold rolled steel plate after the pressure flotation treatment features introducing a mixture of activated sludge and waste liq. undergoing sewage treatment into a fixed bed type bioreactor 1, blowing air from an air diffusing pipe located below into the reactor by a roots blower 8 for a day, fixing the activated sludge on the net-like plastic packed in the reactor 1 while circulating the aforesaid mixture through an air lift pipe 10 provided in the central part of the reactor 1, thereafter feeding into the reactor the waste liq. resulting from the process of manufacturing cold rolled steel plate after the pressure flotation treatment for the reactor treatment over a period of 8 hours and filtering the reactor-treated liq. by the upstream current passage through a filtration device 2 to obtain a satisfactorily treated liq.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the accumulation of nitrite nitrogen and to efficiently remove org. matter by controlling the amounts of air, oxygen enriched air and oxygen blown into a fluidized bed type reactor using a bacteria immobilized carrier using the redox potential of the reactor and providing a post stage ozone contact tank. CONSTITUTION:A fine powder of shaft furnace water slag is used as a bacteria immobilizing carrier to improve the sedimentation properties of bacteria and the concn. of bacteria is kept high in a fluidized bed type reactor. Further, by setting the redox potential of the fluidized bed type reactor to a certain value range, the oxidative decomposition of BOD and TOC in waste water is promoted and the formation of nitrite nitrogen is suppressed. In such a case that the destruction and fragmenting of activated sludge are generated when a too much amount of air is used corresponding to the kind of the org. matter in a waste fluid or the BOD concn. in the waste fluid and redox potential is not kept, oxygen enriched air and/or oxygen is supplied to perform aeration. An ozone contact bed is arranged to the rear stage of the fluidized bed type reactor to oxidize remaining nitrite nitrogen to nitrate nitrogen.
