    • PURPOSE:To improve low-temp. reduction degradation index (RDI) and to improve and stabilize the quality over the entire part of a sintered layer by obliquely charging a raw material for degrading RDI onto an upper layer of a pallet, sintering the material, disintegrating and sieving the ore after sintering and circulating and charging the under size. CONSTITUTION:The raw material for degrading RDI such as easy melting Robe River ore is obliquely charged to the upper layer of the pallet of a sintering machine and is sintered. The calcination is thereby executed at the decreased amt. of forming the melt and the degradation of RDI is prevented in the upper layer where air permeability is good and the calcination temp. is low. The compounding ratio of the RDI degrading raw material is low and RDI can be improved in the lower layer where the air permeability is poor and the temp. is relatively high. The sintered matter after the sintering is disintegrated and sieved and the under size after the sieving is adequately circulated and charged to the upper layer and the lower layer. Since the returns are subjected to heat history, the degradation of RDI is obviated and the sintered ore having good quality is stably obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To improve recovery rate of granular pig, to decrease operation in adverse environment and to prevent increase in equipment size by making a vessel for separating pig and slag, which is punched with a tap hole for molten pig in the lower part at a suitable step in the intermediate position of a flow passage for molten slag, freely tiltable in the direction crossing the flow passage direction of the molten slag. CONSTITUTION:Molten slag is run in a molten slag spout 4a and is admitted into a vessel 6 for separating pig and slag, and after the granular pig in the molten slag is settled in the lower part of the vessel 6, the slag is fed through an outflow part 10 for molten slag into a molten slag spout 4b. The granular pig settled in the bottom of the vessel 6 is gathered to molten pig. When the molten pig accumulates to a suitable amt., the vessel 6 is tilted to an upwardly elevating part 14 side by means of a pin gear 12 and gear 13 provided at the end of an arced stage 9 and driven by a driving source. The molten pig is run to a return spout for molten pig through a tap hole 15 and is thus recovered. The vessel 6 is turned over to an upright position after the molten pig is discharged. The molten slag is admitted through the spout 4a into the vessel 6 even during tilting and is run through a discharge part 10 into the spout 4b whereby the continuous treatment is accomplished.

    • PURPOSE:To produce a sintered ore which is uniformly dispersed with MgO and has high strength by using MgO-contg. raw materials such as serpentine and dolomite as a bedding material on a sintering pallet and depositing ordinary sintering raw materials thereon, then sintering the materials from above to below at the time of producing the MgO-contg. sintered ore. CONSTITUTION:The grains, sized 7-30mm, of the MgO-contg. raw materials such as serpentine or green dolomite are used as the bedding material on the endless pallet of a sintering machine and the sintered ore raw materials consisting of powders of iron ore and coke, etc., are deposited thereon, then the upper part is ignited to sinter the coke in the raw materials from the upper part to the lower part in order to produce the molten ore contg. MgO and having a low S content by forming basic slag in a blast furnace as the sintered ore for the blast furnace. The MgO-contg. bedding material are calcined and the part thereof is half fusion-bonded with the sintered ore by the sintering reaction heat of the middle and lower layers in the sintering raw materials. Such sintered raw ore is disintegrated and the high-basicity sintered ore into which the MgO is uniformly incorporated is obtd.
