    • PURPOSE: To reduce total cnsumption of heat energy by controlling coal supply on the basis of an oven temperature pattern of a combustion chamber which minimizes heat load variation of the oven and total consumption of heat energy.
      CONSTITUTION: A target burning temperature of coal is calculated from aimed carbonization time and required quality of coke. A fixed oven temperature value of a combustion chamber in operation under heating is determined from charging conditions and aimed burning temperature and two or more standard oven temperature values Uo including the above oven temperature value are selected. A combustion chamber oven temperature pattern is obtained by convergence calculation for each Uo value by use of a temperature increment calculation block and an oven temperature pattern calculation block, and a standard oven temperature value at which total consumption of heat energy is minimized is taken as an optimum standard oven temprature value. Then an optimum oven temperature pattern is calculated using the optimum standard oven temperature value and it is taken as an oven temperature pattern for operation. The control of coke oven heating is performed by controlling the amount of heat supply on the basis of difference between the target oven temperature and actually measured oven temperature at each time.

CONSTITUTION:An oven temperature pattern to be preset is determined on the basis of oven operating conditions and input data in step 1, a fuel-flow rate pattern corresponding to the above pattern is determined on the basis of the relationship between oven temperature and fuel flow rate obtd. from the actual data in the past in step 2, the resulting value is preset as the required preset value and an operation is commenced. The temp. DELTAt of a coke oven is measured at regular intervals, and a difference DELTAthetaf(t) between a preset oven temp. thetaref(t) at that time t and the measured oven temp. theta'f(t) obtd. by subjecting the measured oven temp. thetaf(t) to signal processing and the corrected value DELTAV(t) of the fuel flow rate corresponding to the difference DELTAthetaf(t) is determined in step 3. In step 4, the corrected fuel flow rate Vset(t) is determined by adding DELTAV(t) to Vref(t) to preset the value in a fuel flow rate control system, and the whole cycle is repeated in the subsequent dry distillation cycle.

Since hot strength of coke is proportional to a temp. when it is pushed out of the coke oven as well as to a temp. increasing rate during the fusion, it is possible to largely increase hot strength of the coke by keeping the temp. increasing rate as described above.
