    • PURPOSE:To suppress a vibration, etc., and to simultaneously efficiently collapse solidified slag and separate unprocessed metal by externally discharging slag dropped from a lattice floor to a lower part by conveying means, rolling the floor and removing the unprocessed metal remaining on the floor. CONSTITUTION:When solidified slag is conveyed by a slag ladle, etc., thrown on a lattice floor 11, a hydraulic cylinder 14 is extended to move a moving jaw 15 to a stationary jaw 13 side, a lumped solidified slag 42 is interposed to be held between the jaw 13 and 15, pressed to be collapsed, and partly dropped on the lower part of the floor 11. Since unprocessed metal is not pressed to be collapsed, it remains on the floor. The slag dropped from the floor 11 to the lower part is rolled to be dropped on oblique parts 36, 37 to be conveyed, and thrown in an outer hopper. On the other hand, the metal remaining on the floor 11 is discharged to the side by rotating a reduction gear motor 12 to rotate a rotary shaft 26 counterclockwise at approx. 120 degrees. With the above operation, the solidified slag can be collapsed while recovering the metal from the lumped slag.

    • PURPOSE:To permit online adjusting and setting of a roll width and rolling or molding with the good dimensional accuracy of a product by moving the other fitted onto the one roll shaft of bisected horizontal rolls in the axial direction of the roll by means of a screw fitted thereto. CONSTITUTION:The rolls 21a, 21b bisected in the axial direction are respectively formed on the outside circumferences of a hollow shaft 22a and roll shaft 24. The shaft 22a is axially movably fitted onto the shaft 24 and the relative rotation thereof is prohibited by a key 23a. The roll width adjusting screw 26a is screwed to the thread inscribed on the inside circumference of the shaft 22a near the shaft end thereof and the roll 21b is successively provided to gap adjusting devices 32, 32'. The devices 32, 32' are moved rightward by W or above and thereafter the screw 26a is rotated and pressed down in the direction of the shaft 24 by W in the case of increasing the screw width by W. The devices 32, 32' are then moved leftward to set the axial spacings between the screw 26a, a spherical seat 27a and the shaft 24 so as to attain set values or below. The shaft 22a i.e., the roll 21a is thereby set apart by W from the shaft 24, i.e., the roll 21b. Since the transverse rigidity of the roll is high, the product having the good dimensional accuracy is obtd.
