    • PURPOSE:To improve stable floating passing through property of a band-shaped member and permit a technology for floating and passing through plates without contact to be practically applied, by providing guide rollers capable of making inclination at an outlet of a band-shaped dislocation in a width direction and a floating gap in accordance with a passing through condition. CONSTITUTION:Guide rollers 3 capable of making inclination are provided at an outlet of a band-shaped member 1 of a pad 2 and its inclination is controlled in accordance with a passing through condition. As a result, a floating gap between the center of the band-shaped member 1 and an R side and an L side can be quickly corrected to an uniform value by inclining the guide rollers 3 disposed in the outlet direction of the band-shaped member 1 of the pad 2 when the band-shaped member gets out of position of the center in a width direction due to a change of external conditions and the like or it is inclined due to a difference of floating at the R side and the L side. Therefore, stable floating passing through property of the band-shaped member 1 can be greatly improved by an inclining method of the guide rollers, whereby a practical application of a technology for floating and passing through plates without contact is made possible.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease the installation area of a titled device and to eliminate the stagnation of gas between the electrode and the surfaces of a traveling strip by inclining adjacent two sets of plate-like insoluble anode pairs which are positioned respectively on both sides of the strip and face to each other into a V shape relatively with a horizontal plane. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of anode pairs 12, 13 are disposed right above a tank 11 so as to form a V-shape. The angle of inclination of the respective pairs 12, 13 relative with the horizontal plane thereof is changed according to the space between the anode pairs 12, 13. If the angle of inclination increases, the installation area of the device decreases correspondingly and the produced gas stagnates less. Slit nozzles 15 for ejecting an electrolyte are provided to each anode 14 so as to form a closed curve on the plane directing toward the strip S. The closed curve that the nozzles 15 draw is made into the square shape slightly narrower than the width of the strip S or the like. The electrolyte is supplied under pressure, via a casing 16, to the nozzles 15, and the strip S is held by the static pressure in the closed curve.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively prevent vibrations and chambers of a strip, by providing >=2 couples of fluid blasting slits along breadth of the strip in a hydraulic pad that is a noncontact type controlling device for vibrations and cambers of the strip. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a steel strip 3, being drawn up vertically between a sink roll 4 submerged in a plating bath 1 in a vessel 2 and a top roll 5 placed on the upper side far away from the sink roll 4, is blown with the high pressure gas blasted from a wiping nozzle 6; hereby, the plating thickness is controlled to a desired value. Since the strip 3 is running at a high velocity therein, the strip 3 causes a vibration and a transverse camber C due to its tension. In order to diminish such vibration and camber, a couple of hydraulic pads 7 is arranged facing to each other along the line of the strip 3 on the upper side of the nozzle 6. A nozzle 8 of the hydraulic pad 7 is provided with plural slits 9 arranged in accordance with the characteristic of the line and the dimensional constitution of the strip 3; the high pressure gas is blasted from these slits 9 through a flexible pipe 11 and a tank 10 acting as a surge tank.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the atmosphere gases of the heating zone and cooling zone in a continuous heat treatment furnace for steel strips, etc., from being mixed with each other and to heat-treat the steel strips with high accuracy by forming gas cushions with partition walls having a specific construction between the two zones. CONSTITUTION:While a metallic material 1 to be treated, such as steel strip, is transported without contact in the continuous heat treatment furnace having the heating zone 9-1 and the cooling zone 9-2 in the direction of an arrow 8, the steel strip is continuously heat-treated. The partition walls 4, 4; having front slits 5, 5' and back slits 6, 6' are provided above and below the steel strip 1 between the heating zone 9-1 and the cooling zone 9-2 in this case.
