    • PURPOSE: To easily perform the titled sampling within a short time, by a method wherein a hollow double cylinder formed by connecting the lower end parts of an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder so as to open the upper parts thereof is placed at the proper position on a pallet and withdrawn after a charged compounded stock material is sintered.
      CONSTITUTION: A hollow double cylinder 5 formed of a heat resistant material is placed on the pallet 6 positioned between the floor laying ore supply apparatus and the compounded stock material supply apparatus 13 constituted of an ore supply tank 1, a drum feeder 2 and a sloping plate 3 of a sintering machine. When the double cylinder 5 passes below the apparatus 13 by the movement of the pallet 6, the hollow part 14 of the inner cylinder 8 of the double cylinder 5 and the hollow part 10 between the inner cylinder 8 and the outer cylinder 9 thereof are filled with the compounded stock material 4. When the pallet 6 is passed through an ignition furnace 7 after filling, the surface layer of the stock material 4 is ignited and the stock material 4 in the hollow part 14 is sintered under the same condition as the stock material 4 on a strand. However the stock material 4 in the hollow part 10 is not sintered because air is not sucked from the lower end thereof and functions as a heat insulating material. After sintering, the double cylinder 5 is pulled out by a hanging apparatus 13 by utilizing holes 11 for hanging metal fittings.

    • PURPOSE: To improve the strength and yield of sintered ore by enriching only a surface layer with fuel and pressing the surface layer.
      CONSTITUTION: A surface layer stirring unit 6, a fuel adding unit 7 and a press roller 8 are placed between an ore feeding vessel 2 and a firing furnace 4 in a Dwight-Lloyd type sintering apparatus. The surface layer of blended starting materials 1 is stirred before the materials 1 enter the firing furnace 4, and fuel is supplied only to the surface layer from the fuel adding unit 7 to form a fuel enriched layer of 2W100mm thickness. This surface layer is pressed with a press roller 8 to increase the density of the surface layer corresponding to η30% of the thickness of the whole layer of the blended starting materials 1. The surface of the surface layer is then fired in the firing furnace 4, and the starting materials 1 are sintered.

    • PURPOSE: To perform sampling within a short time by forming crack under a combustion suppressing part, by igniting and sintering a compounded stock material after a linear combustion suppressing part is provided to the surface layer part of the stock material corresponding to a pallet connecting part during a time elapsed before said stock material is ignited after charged into a pallet.
      CONSTITUTION: A guide 3 is provided to the upper part of a pallet in front of an ignition furnace 1 and a spout 5 is provided to a moving body 4 moving the width direction of the pallet along the guide 3 so as to be directed downwardly. In this case, water is linearily poured to the part directly above a position to be sampled of the surface layer part of the compounded stock material 7 charged on the pallets 2-0, 2-1, 2-2, 2-3... moving to the direction shown by an arrow 6 at a low speed, for example, the connecting parts of the pallet 2-1 and the pallets 2-0, 2-2 adjacent thereto from the spout 5. When the pallets are subsequently passed through the furnace 1, the water poured lines are not ignited and the water poured places are not sintered even if the stock material 7 on the pallet 2-1 is sintered and cracks are generated from the upper layer to the lower layer. Therefore, the sintered material corresponding to one pallet is separated to be capable of easily performing sampling.
