    • PURPOSE:To carry out a bending process in good order, by pressing-in the ridgeline of the tapered surface of an extremely thick board member and a bending inside plane crossed together, with an upper metallic mold provided with an expanded section. CONSTITUTION:A tapered surface 7 is set upward on a lower metallic mold 2, and an extremely thick board member 3 is set so that the axis of symmetry of upper and lower metallic molds 1, 2 may coincide with the axis of symmetry of the extremely thick board member 3. After that, when the upper meatllic mold 1 is pressed downward and the extremely thick board member 3 is transformed in a crescent shape, then the ridgeline 6 of the tapered surface 7 and a bending inside plane 5 crossed together is projected in the direction of the upper metallic mold 1. When the upper metallic mold 1 is pressed further downward, then the ridgeline 6 is pressed-in by the expanded section 4 of the upper metallic mold 1. By this method, the downward pressure of the upper metallic mold 1 is uniformly transmitted also to the tapered section 7 of the extremely thick board member 3, and a bending process is carried out in good order.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent defects such as the cracking on the surface of a cord member and the deterioration of its material by heating a planar steel, hot- bending a top force and a bottom force and conducting dipping, heating and leaving under a cooled state in heating and cooling water tanks in succession. CONSTITUTION:A planar steel 2 is heated, and hot-bent by a projecting arcuate top force 6 and a recessed arcuate bottom force 7, thus forming a cord material 8. The cord material 8 is left as it is cooled up to room temperature in atmospheric air, heated, dipped in a cooling water tank, pulled up from the cooling water tank, further heated and left as it is cooled in atmospheric air. Beveling cutting sections 12 in the cord material 8 to which heat treatment is completed are removed, thus obtaining a large-sized arm 9. The large-sized arms 9 are held mutually from both ends centering around a rack material 13, and joining sections among the large-sized arms 9 and the rack material 13 are welded, thus forming a rack-and-cord. Accordingly, defects such as the cracking of the surface and the deterioration of the material can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a parallel joint member light in weight with high connecting strength by arranging a plurality of connecting surfaces, having curvature equal to an external diameter of a fiber reinforced resin-made pipe, respectively toward the outside, and integrally forming all the connecting surfaces by fiber reinforced resin through a rib. CONSTITUTION:In a rolling stock use bogie frame or the like in which two fiber reinforced resin-made pipes 7, 8 of constituting a side beam, lateral beam, etc., are connected by a parallel joint member 9 to each other by maintaining a parallel condition, the parallel joint member 9 is constituted by arranging two connecting surfaces 1, having curvature equal to an external diameter of the pipes 7, 8, respectively toward the outside, and by integrally molding both the connecting surfaces 1, 1 by fiber reinforced resin through a rib 2. After connecting the pipes 7, 8 to each connecting surface 1 of this parallel joint member 9 through a liquid-state bonding agent, a jig 10 is attached, and after applying a contact pressure to the connecting surface to place the three members in a fixed condition, the members are heated by a drying machine. In this way, the pipes 7, 8 are integrally formed through the parallel joint member 9, thereafter to remove the jig 10.

    • PURPOSE:To correctly measure the groove shape formed of a walllike member on one side by providing a vertical range finder and horizontal range finders on a supporting frame of a welding machine movable table to obtain the width and depth of the groove face and an inclination of the wall surface. CONSTITUTION:The vertical range finder 1 is fitted on a supporting member of the supporting frame 13 on the welding movable table and the distance to an object below it is measured. In addition, the horizontal range fingers 2 and 3 are fitted on the supporting member 12 fitted rotationally on the supporting frame 13 and the position in the horizontal direction of the object is detected. A data processor DPD (computer) collects distance (position) information in the horizontal direction of the groove wall surface 4 measured by the horizontal range finders 2 and 3 and distance (height; welding groove depth) information of the vertical range finder 1 when the vertical range finder 1 is moved sidewise till just before hitting on the wall surface 4 from the retreating position according to distance information in the horizontal direction. Signals of the range finders 1-3 are taken in a CPU via interfaces of A/D converters AD1-AD3, a counter PC1, etc. Consequently, the welding groove position and shape can be measured efficiently and correctly for the groove having the reverse inclination on the wall surface.
