    • PURPOSE: To provide a bullet stopping apparatus in which the ricochet from a bullet stop bank or a back surface is effectively prevented, the safety of a shooter is ensured, the recovery of the bullet is facilitated and shooting training from a point-black range is performed. CONSTITUTION: Since the impact force of a bullet 6 can be diffused and absorbed by a high tensile member 9 in which a plurality of layers of cloth woven by high tensile fiber are laminated, plastic deformation member 10, viscoelastic member 11 and hard member 12, etc., the penetration of the bullet is prevented, and hence a bobbing driver can be protected. Since the ricochet from a bullet stop bank or the back surface of a target can be effectively prevented, the shooter's safety can be obtained, and shooting training from a point-black range can be performed. Further, since the bullet 6 does not penetrate a bullet stop member 21 to effectively diffuse the impact force and to absorb it to the bullet stopping unit, the unit can be continuously used. Moreover, since the bullet 6 is not disintegrated, plastically deformed and dropped to the floor without scattering to the front surface (shooter side), the recovery and cleaning of the bullet can be effectively conducted.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a conductive metallic honeycomb catalyst carrier for cleaning an exhaust gas and a catalyst high in current efficiency. CONSTITUTION:An expand-worked stainless steel on which aluminum is melt- sprayed is used as a starting raw material and is given ruggedness by press- working or the like, is made a honeycomb structural body by a method such as superposing on a flat plate 1 and, if necessary, is wash-coated with an inorganic particle having high specific surface area. And, electrodes 3, 4 to apply current and electric power are provided and electric power is saved by defining the region particularly to a current applied part 5. As a result, the several technical problems under consideration in the conventional bulkmetal type honeycomb catalyst are solved and, particularly, in automobiles or the like using combustion gas as a power source, the cleaning of the exhaust gas at an initial operation is accurately executed and the great contribution to environmental conservation is expected.
