    • PURPOSE:To obtain a compact, light and inexpensive idling-speed control valve, by providing a pressure regulating valve operated by a piezoelectric vibrator in a small passage for establishing communication between a cylinder chamber and an atmospheric pressure chamber which are defined in a housing by disposing a piston with a needle in the housing. CONSTITUTION:An idling-speed control valve of this invention, which contrals the idling-speed of an internal combustion engine by controlling the quantity of by-pass air at the time of idling operation of the engine, is constituted by disposing a piston 2 with a needle in a freely slidable manner in a housing 1 having a passage 1d connected to an intake pipe. The piston 2 with a needle is biased by a spring 5 in a cylinder chamber 30 in the direction to close the passage 1d. Further, the cylinder chamber 30 and the passage 1d are communicated with each other via a small passage 1c. Here, communication between the cylinder chamber 30 and the passage 1d is controlled by a pressure regulating valve 10 attached to the top of the small passage 1c through operation of a piezo-electric vibrator consisting of a bimorph element 3. The bimorph element 3 is controlled by a switching circuit 7 according to the output of an AC generator 6 before rectification of the same.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the output torque as well as relieve the setting of air-to- fuel ratio on the rich side, by starting water flush in the event of knocking, and by reducing the rate of fuel injection by an amount corresponding to this water flush. CONSTITUTION:While a supercharger is in operation and knockings are generated in the engine, a water flush calculating means calculates the rate of water flush according to the engine output air-to-fuel ratio, and meantime a water flushing means sprays the water at the calculated rate into the engine. At the same time, No.1 rate-of-fuel-injection calculating means calculates the rate of fuel injection so as to provide the engine output air-to-fuel ratio. Thus the output torque is enhanced as well as the setting of air-to-fuel ratio on the rich side can be relieved.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a detector which is easy to manufacture and handle and makes the accurate detection of the distribution of pressures and secular changes thereof possible by providing plural foillike electrodes opposite to both surfaces of platelike anisotropic conductive rubber and lead wires connected respectively thereto. CONSTITUTION:Plural foillike electrodes 4, 5 opposite to both surfaces of platelike anisotropic conductive rubber, lead wires 6, 7 connected respectively thereto, and insulation layers 8, 9 of synthetic resins or the like are provided. Such detector is placed between objects 1 and 2 to be measured, and the electric resistance values of respectively a pair of the foillike electrodes 4, and 5 are measured, from which the distibution of the pressures are determined. From the secular change in the electric resistance,the secular change in pressure is detected. Thereby, the detector for distribution of contact face pressures which is easy to manufacture and handle, and makes the detection of the distribution of pressures of their secular changes possible is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To detect with high accuracy without obstructing the flow of a fluid flow rate by forcing a vibrating piece provided inside the fluid flowing route to vibrate and by detecting the reduced quantity of the amplitude in case of the amplitude being reduced according to the increase in the flow rate. CONSTITUTION:A vibrating piece 2 is provided in parallel to the air flow inside a sucking air tube 1 passed into the cylinder of an engine for instance. The vibrating piece 2 provides an electrode 2d in its center, a piezoelectric vibrator 2e on its one face and displacement measuring piezoelectric body 2f on the other face, and electrodes are arranged with vapor deposition respectively to the vibrator 2e, the piezoelectric body 2f. The vibrating piece 2 is connected respectively to an excitation circuit 91, receiving circuit 92. The vibrating piece 2 is then forced to be vibrated with the output from the excitation circuit 91 and when the fluid flow is many, the vibrating piece 2 receives a force from both sides and the amplitude is reduced and the alternating voltage to receive 92 from the displacement measuring piezoelectric body 2f is reduced. The fluid flow rate is then calculated from the receiving signal with an arithmetic circuit 93. Since the flow rate is detected with the amplitude of a vibrating piece, therefore, the detection is enabled with a simple device.

The other pressure chamber B of the cylinder 2 is connected with an fresh air supply line 51 and communicated with the atmosphere via a two-way solenoid valve 5. The solenoid valves 4, 5 are respectively opened and closed by means of a control device 7 having a microcomputer therein. The device 7 has a clutch operation instructing signal 8a entered therein, and deenergizes the valve 5 when the signal 8a is entered to completely interrupt the clutch and thereby to stop starting of the car.

The deterioration limit viscosity Xo(T) of oil and the viscosity X are compared. When the viscosity X exceeds the limit viscosity Xo(T), a warning light 5 is lighted, and driver's attention is attracted.
