    • PURPOSE:To enable uniform bending molding and reduction in optical strain of glass in a device wherein plate glass softened by heating is transported in a horizontal state and subjected to bending molding, by setting a transportation mechanism having side plates capable of moving and extending instead of transfer rolls. CONSTITUTION:A traveling belt 104 is moved left along a rail 101 while plate glass G heated approximately to the softening point by a furnace 2 is being transported on transfer rolls 7. When the tip part of the plate glass G is brought into contact with a stopper of a front plate 109, the front plate 109 and side plates 111 together with the belt 104 are moved right, the under surface at the front end of the plate glass G is supported on the front plate 109, the under surface at the rear end on the left and right side plates 111 and the plate glass is transported between a top and a bottom molds 6 and 4. Then when the belt 104 is further traveled and the plate glass G is transported together with the plates 109 and 111, the tip part of the plate glass G is brought into contact with a stopper 130, only the plates 109 and 111 are moved right and the plate 109 comes off the under surface at the rear end of the plate glass G. Then the plates 111 are transferred outward, come off both the side parts of the plate glass G, the plate glass G is supported at the circumferential part by a ring mold 5 and press molded by the top and the bottom molds 6 and 4.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of product and to reduce the cost in the case of hollizontally transfering a plate glass from a furnace to a mold and forming the plate glass in the mold, by detecting the twisting rate and the lateral shifting rate of a plate glass daying transfer and rotating and shifting the mold by the detected twisting and shifting rates. CONSTITUTION:Sensors 5, 6, 7 detecting the twisting rate and the lateral shifting rate of a plate glass G are disposed between horizontal transfer rollers 4... for the plate glass G sent from a heating furnace 1. A supporting plate 13 allowed to be moved in right-angled direction to the transfer direction by a motor 15 is provided on rails 12 and a rotatable table 25 is disposed. The sensors 5, 6, 7 detect the twisting rate and the lateral shifting rate of the plate glass G, and a control device 30 rotates and moves a ring mold 8 according to the detected values to correct the positional shift of the plate glass and the press work is carried out. By this method, the positioning accuracy of the plate glass G is improved as well as the production time is reduced with the result that the accuracy of product is improved and the cost is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To easily exchange a die with extremely weak force and without requiring a rail, etc., by placing the upper and lower sheet glass bending dies on the title die exchanging truck furnished with a specified pallet, and moving the truck to and from a bending position. CONSTITUTION:The upper die 5 and lower die 4 for bending sheet glass are fixed to common plates 6 and 7, positioned by a positioning rod 10, and placed on a lower surface plate 3 which is supported by the frame 1 of the die exchanging truck and made freely liftable along the guide 2a of a cylinder unit 2. Meanwhile, the pallet 20 for floating the truck from the floor by injecting a fluid into an annular hollow body 27 and expanding the fluid and a caster 30 for preventing the runaway during flotation are provided on the lower surface of the frame 1. An oscillation frame 14 is provided on the stanchion 12 erected on the frame 1 through a rail guide mechanism 13, and a ring mold 15 for forming the periphery of the sheet glass is supported by the frame 14 and made circularly and linearly movable. The truck with the upper and lower dies 4 and 5 positioned is moved into a frame 40 at the bending position while floating the pallet 20, and the heated sheet glass is bent.

    • PURPOSE: To enable uniform coating with a small amt. of a coating liquid, by forming an overflow part which allows the coating liquid in a main tank to overflow therefrom in a horizontal direction to a part of the main tank and providing a weir member with which the one surface of a base material contacts without any space on the outside of said overflow part.
CONSTITUTION: The coating liquid 17 of a sub-tank 12 is supplied by a pump 28 through a supply pipe 33 to a main tank 11, from which the liquid passes through the opening 15 of a side wall 13a to an overflow part 18. The liquid 17 overflows from the part 18, flows in the top end part of a weir member 19 and contacts with the surface of a base material 20. As the material 20 is pulled upward at a specified speed in this stage, the liquid 17 flows into the outside chamber 24 of the tank 12 by flowing along a guide plate 21 while lubricating the sliding part between the member 19 and the material 20. Part of the liquid 17 in this stage is coated to a uniform thickness on the surface of the material 20.
