    • PURPOSE:To promote the prevention of a lubricant from deteriorating, by forming an introducing hole of cooling air in the vicinity of a bearing in a case structure for an electric motor while a discharge hole of the cooling air in a bottom end part of the case structure so as to generate a stream of the cooling air passing through in the vicinity of the bearing. CONSTITUTION:A case structure 4 for an electric motor 3 is mounted through a shroud 2 behind a radiator 1. And the case structure 4 encloses an opening end surface of a flat cylindrical body 6, holding a permanent magnet 5, by a cover member 7 further provides a blower fan 11 and a rotor 12 in a rotary shaft 10 supported to a through hole 7a of the cover member 7. In the above constitution, an introducing hole 15 of cooling air is provided being drilled in the cover member 7 in the vicinity of each bearing 9a, 9b which supports the rotary shaft 10. While a discharge hole 16 of the cooling air is provided being drilled in a bottom end part of the flat cylindrical body 6 which is opposed to the introducing hole 15 interposing the rotor 12. In this way, the case structure 4 generates the cooling air passing through in the vicinity of each bearing 9a, 9b from the introducing hole 15 and reaching the discharge hole 16.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of jarring noise to restrict generation of friction by filling a rolling bearing holding rolling elements between its inner race and outer race with a lubricating grease made of a base oil having a specific kinetic viscosity at a temperature of 40 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:Rolling elements 3 are inserted between an outer race 1 and an inner race 2, and the rolling elements 3 are held so that they can freely roll by a corrugated retainer made as a unit by connecting rivets. A lubricating grease G is inserted and sealed between the inner race 2 and outer race 1 by sealing body. When a rolling bearing of such construction is filled and sealed with the lubricating grease G made of a base oil whose kinetic viscosity is in the range from 30cst to 60cst at a temperature of 40 deg.C, an oil film formed between the rolling elements and the inner and outer races 2, 1 becomes thicker than conventional films, and there is no significant wear even when the bearing caries higher load or even in a rolling bearing having many slip planes. Further, since a slip factor between the rolling elements 3 and the inner and outer races 2, 1 is low, jarring noise can be restricted.
