CONSTITUTION:A drying oil and/or a conjugated diene (co)polymer (A) of an iodine value >=80 and a number average MW of 500-10000 is subjected to an addition reaction with an alpha,beta-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (anhydride) (B), and the adduct is reacted with a conjugated diene bond-containing alcohol (C) and an alpha,beta-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid hydroxyalkyl ester (D) of formula I to obtain a modified resin (A) containing 10-300mgKOH/g (in terms of an acid value), per g of the modified resin, free carboxyl groups, at most 10 milliequivalents of conjugated diene bonds per 100g of the modified resin, and at least 10 milliequivalents of alpha,beta-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid residues of the formula II, per 100g of the modified resin, in the side chains and/or the main chain. A mixture of 100 pts.wt. component A with 0.001-1.0 pt.wt. (in terms of the metal) of organic or inorganic compound of a metal selected from along Co, Mn, Fe, Ni, Pb, Zn and Cr is neutralized with a base, and the product is dispersed or dissolved in water.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the contamination of a photomask by contact with a photosensitive coating film and to increase the latitude of the shapes of a light shielding region and colored regions by developing an exposed positive type photosensitive coating film and coating a colored coating material by electrodeposition after exposing the transparent electrically conductive regions. CONSTITUTION: A transparent substrate with a light shielding region and transparent electrically conductive regions corresponding to separate image elements on the surface is prepd. and a positive photosensitive coating film is formed on at least the transparent electrically conductive regions. The photosensitive coating film is then exposed from the rear side of the substrate through a photo-mask. The exposed photosensitive coating film is developed and coated after exposing the transparent electrically conductive regions, with a colored coating material by electrodeposition to form colored regions. If such processes are carried out, the order and frequency of the processes may properly be selected and the processes may be combined with different processes in other method.
