    • PURPOSE:To obtain the title anode-depositing composition excellent in low- temperature curability, by dispersing a mixture of a specified modified resin with an organic or inorganic compound of a metal selected from among Co, Mn, Fe, Ni, Pb, Zn and Cr in water. CONSTITUTION:A drying oil and/or a conjugated diene (co)polymer (A) of an iodine value >=80 and a number average MW of 500-10000 is subjected to an addition reaction with an alpha,beta-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (anhydride) (B), and the adduct is reacted with a conjugated diene bond-containing alcohol (C) and an alpha,beta-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid hydroxyalkyl ester (D) of formula I to obtain a modified resin (A) containing 10-300mgKOH/g (in terms of an acid value), per g of the modified resin, free carboxyl groups, at most 10 milliequivalents of conjugated diene bonds per 100g of the modified resin, and at least 10 milliequivalents of alpha,beta-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid residues of the formula II, per 100g of the modified resin, in the side chains and/or the main chain. A mixture of 100 pts.wt. component A with 0.001-1.0 pt.wt. (in terms of the metal) of organic or inorganic compound of a metal selected from along Co, Mn, Fe, Ni, Pb, Zn and Cr is neutralized with a base, and the product is dispersed or dissolved in water.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the subject material having excellent coating property, impregnation property, water-repellence, wet strength, gloss, etc., by neutralizing a polymer such as butadiene having a specific iodine value, etc., and reacting with a radically polymerizable monomer. CONSTITUTION:The objective material can be produced by reacting a low- polymer such as butadiene or isoprene with e.g., peracetic acid to introduce epoxy group to the polymer, reacting the product with a primary or secondary amine to form a polymer (A) containing 0.02-1.3mol (based on 100g of the polymer) of a basic group expressed by formula (R1 and R2 are H or methyl; R3 and R4 are H or 1-10C organic group; X is H, etc.) and having a number-average molecular weight of 500-10,000 and an iodine value of 100-500, dispersing the component A in water, neutralizing with (B) an organic acid or an inorganic acid, added with (C) a radically polymerizable monomer (e.g., methyl acrylate) and then (D) a radical polymerization initiator and finally polymerizing the monomer.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the title anode-depositing composition excellent in low-temperature curability, by neutralizing a mixture of two specified modified resins with an organic or inorganic compound of a metal such as Co, Mn, Fe or Ni and dispersing or dissolving the product of neutralization in water. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of 100 pts.wt. composition comprising 10-90 pts.wt. modified resin (A) obtained by reacting a drying oil or a conjugated diene (co)polymer (a) of a number-average MW of 500-10000 with an alpha,beta-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride (b) and a conjugated bond-containing alcohol (c) and having 10-300mgKOH/g (in terms of an acid value) free carboxylic acid groups per g of the resin, and at least 10 milliequivalents of conjugated diene bonds per 100g of the resin and 10-90 pts.wt. modified resin (B) obtained by reacting component (a) with component (b) and an alpha,beta-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid hydroxyalkyl ester (d) and having 10-30mgKOH/g (in terms of an acid value) free carboxyl groups per g of the resin and at least 10 milliequivalents of alpha,beta-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid residues of the formula I (wherein R1-2 are each H or CH3) per 100g of the resin with 0.001-1.0 pt.wt. (in term of the metal) organic or inorganic compound of a metal (C) such as Co or Ni is neutralized, and the product of neutralization is dispersed or dissolved in water.
