摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the subject polyol capable of providing a coating composition excellent in general-purpose properties and workability and coating film excellent in transparency, etc., because of excellent solubility to organic solvents and excellent compatibility with a curing agent component by using a specific polyhydric alcohol component. CONSTITUTION:The objective polycarbonate polyol is obtained by reacting (A) a carbonyl component selected from phosgene, chloroformic acid esters, dialkylcarbonates, diarylcarbonates and alkylene carbonates with (B) a polyhydric alcohol component containing >=10mol% branched diol (e.g. neopentyl glycol) and >=10mol% quadrivalent to hexavalent alcohol component and contains 20-40wt.% carbonate part. Furthermore, a straight-chain diol such as 1,3-propylene glycol is preferably used as the component B other than quadivalent to hexavalent alcohol.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the impact resistance and appearance of a coating film by together using an acrylic emulsion and a urethane emulsion in aqueous intercoat coating when aqueous coating is also used as an intercoating base in a three-coat one-bake coating system. SOLUTION: This double-layered coating film is formed by successively coating a base material, on which an electrodeposition coating film is formed, with aqueous intercoat coating (1), aqueous base coating (2) and clear coating (3) by a wet-on-wet process and baking and curing the obtained double-layered coating film at the same time. The aqueous intercoat coating (1) contains the acrylic emulsion with a mean particle size of 0.05-10 μm and the urethane emulsion with a mean particle size of 0.01-1 μm and a curing agent. The mean particle size of the acrylic emulsion is same to or larger than that of the urethane emulsion and the number ratio of acrylic emulsion/urethane emulsion is 1/0.1-1/500. SOLUTION: In the case of preparing a metallic material to be coated suitable for a vehicle body of an automobile, etc., a base material 1 is subjected to primer coating 2 and is then subjected to intermediate coating 3 thereon. The metallic material is subjected to black out coating for sashes as desired. The color base coating film 4 is thereafter formed thereon and the color base coating material is preferably a solvent based one in terms of coating workability. The solvent based color base material contains a thermosetting resin soluble or dispersible in water or org. solvent as a coating film forming component and a hardener. The surface of the color base coating film 4 is coated with the powder color clear coating material 5. The powder coating material 5 suitable for use consists of the thermosetting resin which is the coating film forming component and the hardener as essential components and further contains a pigment, surface control agent and other additives.

The powder coating material is incorporated with a powder solid color coating material and a powder clear coating material and applied by an electrostatic spray coating, etc., and subjected to a predrying with a heating means such as oven to form the continuous powder coating film 4. Then the coating film 5 of the water-dilutive coating material is formed on the powder coating film 4, and the water-dilutive coating material is prepared by incorporating a water-based resin obtained from an acrylic resin, polyester resin, alkyd resin, etc. A double-layered film 10 is formed lastly by taking and curing each coating film 4 and 5.
