摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to minimize the amount of dispersion of coal ash and melt a large amount of coal ash in a short time in a relatively small volume of a melting furnace by setting the charging position of ash coal into the furnace inside molten slag in a melting method of coal ash. SOLUTION: There is provided a converter melting furnace 1 which houses molten iron 20 including a specified amount of carbon or slag 18 molten with the molten iron 20. Then, the air current of oxygen gas is sprayed over the molten slag and molten iron. Coal or the like is added as a carbon material which is coal ash 2, a slag material 6 and an exothermic material, thereby melting the coal ash 2 which continues the heat generation reaction. The charging method of the coal ash 2 is specified to blow directly the coal ash 2 into the molten slag 18 in the furnace. As for the blowing operation, the coal ash 2 housed in a hopper 21 is subjected to fluidization in a carrier gas 26, for example, in a nitrogen gas, the coal ash 2 is blown and charged into the molten slag directly from a nozzle 24 laid out in the intermediate position between a bathed surface of molten iron 20 and the height of slag. This construction makes it possible to charge the coal ash 2 with enhanced yields.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a method for raising the temperature of a coke oven without damaging the partition wall at an end of a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:Burners 10 are attached to the ceiling at both ends of a combustion chamber 2 in a state passing downward through the top wall 5 of the oven. Fuel gas and air are supplied to a burner 10 at an end of the combustion chamber 2 acting as a pull-down part by the switching of combustion. The combustion gas generated by burning the fuel gas is passed through the end part of the combustion chamber to raise the temperature of the end part of the combustion chamber. Since the flame 30 is formed downward and parallel to the partition walls 6, there is no contact of the flame 30 with the partition wall to prevent the melting damage of the wall 6.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption used to compress gases in a coke oven and thereby reduce the cost of the liquefied coal product by using the coke oven gas as the source of hydrogen used in the liquefaction reaction. CONSTITUTION:A cake oven gas is led through a methane converter 20 to a shift reaction apparatus 21 and improved to obtain a hydrogen-rich coke oven gas. This gas is compressed with a compressor 22. A coal slurry obtained by adding a solvent to a ground coal is sent from a slurry tank 2, mixed with the compressed coke oven gas, passed through a heating furnace 3 and sent to a reaction tower 4, where it is subjected to a liquefaction reaction to form a liquefied product comprising a liquefied product slurry and gases. The liquefied product is separated into a used coke oven gas and the liquefied product slurry in a gas separator 6. The used coke oven gas is introduced to a gas expander 23 and used to drive the compressor 22, reduced in pressure to normal pressure or near and used as a chemical material or the like.

摘要： PURPOSE:To remove heavy nitrogen compounds by catalytic pyrolysis wherein a fossil fuel itself is catalytically decomposed under atmospheric pressure in the presence of a highly active catalyst as a substitute for a molybdenum catalyst into harmless products and to provide a low-nitrogen product. CONSTITUTION:Harmful heavy nitrogen compounds contained in a fossil fuel such as coal, a petroleum-derived heavy oil or coal- or petroleum-derived tar are removed by pyrolyzing them into a harmless nitrogen gas by heat treatment in the presence of ultrafine metallic catalyst particles at a medium to high temperature under a pressure near the normal pressure. As a result, the pyrolysis ratio of nitrogen compounds can be increased, while the residual ratio of nitrogen compounds can be decreased, and the pyrolysis efficiency can be markedly increased. The fossil fuel or by-products obtained by this simple process are useful as low-nitrogen products.

It is measured according to the method of measuring vitrite reflectance prescribed in JIS M 8816. The reflectance of a light with a wavelength of 546nm is determined according to the oil immersion method by use of an immersion oil having a refractive index of 1.518. Calculations are made by substituting the reflectance for each coal obtained in formula I.

摘要： PURPOSE:To control the free expansion of coal during carbonization to thereby obtain coke of high strength by heating coal in a carbonization oven from both the upper and lower sides and applying a vertical load thereto. CONSTITUTION:When coke is manufactured by charging coal 8 into a carboniza tion oven (vessel 3) to carbonize, heat (by a heater 4) is applied to the coal 8 in the oven at least from one of the upper and lower sides thereof and a vertical load (by a hydraulic cylinder 5, a rod 5a, and pressing plate 6) with a pressure of 1.2kgf/cm or above is applied to the coal 8 during the first half or in the middle of carbonization. The pressure of the vertical load is preferably 1.2 to 3kgf/cm . The above-mentioned method can advantageously be utilized when coal is carbonized in a tunnel kiln in which the charging density of coal is low.

According to this method, purity and recovery ratio can be improved to shorten extraction time and a low cost is sufficient without corrosion of containers.

SOLUTION: The coal ash generated in bulk in a thermal power plant for generating power by burning coal is treated. A current of gaseous oxygen 8 is blown against the slag and molten iron through an oxygen lance 3, hence the oxygen reacts with the molten iron and the carbon in the slag, and a large amt. of heat is generated. Subsequently, coal ash 2, a slag making material 6 and the lump or fine grain of coal as the heat producing carbonaceous material 4 are added to continue the exothermal reaction, and the coal ash 2 is melted. In this case, gaseous nitrogen or argon is blown in as an agitating gas 12.
