    • PURPOSE:To form a plating layer of a uniform thickness without oxidizing a Zn plating bath by gas wiping the inside and outside surfaces of a steel pipe drawn out of the Zn plating bath with an inert gas at the time of galvanizing the inside and outside surfaces of this steel pipe. CONSTITUTION:The air within the steel pipe 21 to be Zn plated on the inside and outside surfaces is replaced with the gaseous N1 which is the inert gas; thereafter, the steel pipe is immersed into the galvanizing bath 22 to stick molten Zn on the inside and outside surfaces of the steel pipe 21. The gaseous N2 1a is then blown to the outside surface of the steel pipe 21 by an injection nozzle 2 to wipe the surface with the gas and to uniformalize the deposition of the Zn at the time of pulling up the steel pipe 21 from the galvanizing bath 22 by means of a magnet roller 24 of a pulling up device 23. The steel pipe 21 is heated by an induction heater 4 in such a manner that heat input falls gradually from the front end toward the rear end right thereafter, by which the temp. of the plated steel pipe 21 is uniformalized over the entire length. The gaseous N2 1b is then blown to the inside surface of the steel pipe 21 by the injection nozzle 3 to form the uniform Zn plating layer on the inside surface. Since air is not used as the wiping gas, the loss by oxidation of the Zn does not arise.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the heat input control of a forge welded steel tube by which many products of stable quality are obtained by controlling the temp. of a tublar skelp just before forge welding as taking thermal transformation texture in forge welded part into consideration. CONSTITUTION:To obtain the stable forge welded part in thermal transformation texture, the flow rate (f) of air at a welding horn 5 just before a butt-welding roll 6 is adjusted and the edge width W which is raised at a temp. of not less than a specific temp. is used as a parameter for this adjustment. In the case that the objective edge width is W1, the flow rate fU-fL of air corresponding to W2-W3 is preliminarily set in a controller 10 as an allowable band. And, the peak temps. T of the right and left edges also are used as a parameter for adjusting the flow rate (f) of air to attain a good forge welding property. Then, the temp. distribution of the tublar skelp just before the butt-welding roll 6 is determined with a linear ray thermometer 8 and outputted to the controller 10 through a signal processor. The actual value is compared with the target value which is set in the controller 10 and the flow rate of air is changing contolled in accordance with the deviation.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture the forge welded tube without temperature difference of both side end parts by blowing the oxidation heat increasing gas to every one end part to be forge welded from independent nozzles. CONSTITUTION:Front nozzles 1a, 1b arranged at the upper stream side of the steel strip X for the main purpose of heat increasing are separated independent by, and the temperature of both side end parts of steel strip can be adjusted separately by blowing air or oxygen gas by using each independent nozzle of each one side of left or right. The rear side nozzle 2 which is arranged at the down stream side for mainly ejecting and removing scale, incorporates the image fiber 3 in it, and the temperature is measured with this image fiber 3. Following to the result of temperature measurement, the flow rate of air or oxygen of the front nozzles 1a, 1b is adjusted. By this invention, the temperature difference generated when there is a difference in the sheet thickness of both side end parts of the steel strip can be eliminated and the defective forge- welding of the forge welded part can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method of a butt welded tube where the bending of the tube can be effectively prevented by controlling the tube temperature when the carrying condition of the tube stock is changed outside the prescribed temperature range. CONSTITUTION:A butt welded tube stock 11' is obtained by butt welding a strip 11 by using a butt welding machine 14 or the like, and hot-cut by a hot saw 16. Then, a butt welded tube is manufactured by executing the finishing treatment using a cooling equipment 18 or the like. When the tube stock 11' is carried to the position to execute the finishing treatment after the tube stock 11' is cut, the tube temperature when the carrying condition of the tube stock 11' is changed is controlled to be outside the temperature range of the A3 transformation point of the material + or -25 deg.C by using thermometers 19, 20, an arithmetic unit 23, and a control unit 24. Temperature control of the tube treated is executed by cooling the tube stock 11'. This constitution allows the butt welded tube to be manufactured without increasing the power consumption due to the increase of the rolling load.
