摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the high frequency current at the time of welding from leaking ad a reactive current through a seam guide roll and to improve welding efficiency and further the quality of welding by forming the seam guide roll used for seam welding out of an inner and an outer cylinders made of steel and an intermediate cylinder made of ceramics located intermediately between the two cylinders and provided with insulating effect and high compressive colapse resisting strength. SOLUTION: The seam guide roll 1 is formed out of an outer cylinder 2 and an inner cylinder 4 each made of steel and an intermediate cylinder 3 made of ceramics located intermediately between the two cylinders, and is rotatably fitted around a rotary shaft 10 of the seam guide roll through a bearing inserted into the inner cylinder 4. Onto the intermediate cylinder 3, the outer cylinder 2 is subjected to shrinkage fit, and the inner cylinder 4 is subjected to expansion fit, and thus load resistibility is improved. This seam guide roll is free from fear of being broken because the outer cylinder 2 is made of steel which comes into contact with both of the edges of an open pipe, i.e., the seaming part, and moreover is able to shut off a high frequency current because the intermediate cylinder 3 is made of ceramics.

The welding of the differential thickness plates based on the projections and the welding of the equal thickness plates are continuously repeated at the time of welding, but the heat input is so controlled that the heat coeffts. of the respective parts attain the respectively adaptive heat coeffts. and, therefore, the lack of fusion and burn-through of the weld zone are prevented. The need for flattening equipment is thereby eliminated and the production cost is reduced. The improved productivity is obtd. from the simplified production.

At this time, pushing up is conducted under three conditions in the following, 1: a pushing up quantity is 1.8-6.5 times of a generated edge wave. 2: Yb=α×Ya, Ya, Yb are a max/min pushing up quantity, α=0.3-1.0. 3: a max pushing up quantity is in the range of a max pushing up load not causing a shape defect.

When the tip part 3 of the coil upward bent, the tip part 3 of the coil 6 becomes approximately horizontal coupled with the weight of the coil itself and the transporting equipment is not damaged when the tip part 3 of the coil is passed through the equipment.
