摘要： PURPOSE:To enable the simple installation of a device for removing foreign materials requiring the supply of a fluid such as compressed air without requiring a large installation space. CONSTITUTION:This doctor device (a device for removing foreign materials) loaded onto a mobile type roll device is equipped with a pair of air tubes for regulating a pressing force to the roll surface of a doctor blade. Compressed air is supplied from an air cylinder of a controlling unit loaded on a roll frame to the air tubes. Since the supply of the compressed air from a distant position is not required, a pipe therefor is not required. Furthermore, a pipe capable of following up to the movement of the roll and a space therefor are not required. Thereby, the doctor device requiring the supply of the fluid can compactly be installed in the mobile type roll device according to simple operations.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent scratches from being produced by providing nozzles between and side of multiple conveyors for transferring sheets such as surface- treated steel sheet, etc., coming out successively from a lapping roll, respectively, to produce air cushion when the subsequent sheets are transferred. CONSTITUTION:In a tinned steel sheet production line, a tinned steel sheet is cut at a specified lengths by a shearing machine and transferred by a fixed speed conveyor 11 and, when it reaches near a lapping roll 14, a sheared sheet 2 is attracted toward the roll 14 by a magnetic force generated by transmission of electricity to the roll 14 to set it at a specified position. Then transmission of electricity to the roll 14 is stopped to drop the sheared sheet 2 on the conveyor 21. When the subsequent sheet 2 drops on a stepped conveyor 21, a dropping angle of the subsequent sheet 2 relative to a preceding sheet 2 is reduced by the air injected from an air nozzle 31, and an air cushion layer is formed by the air from a side air nozzle 34. Thus production of scratches can be suppressed.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the excess acid-pickling of a metallic material developed at the time of stopping the conveying by adjusting gas exhausting quantity of the atmosphere in each acid-pickling vessel in holding upward the material from acid solution at the time of stopping the conveying. SOLUTION: The metallic material 6 of a steel strip, etc., passes through warm water 21 in an inlet side warm water vessel 2 to raise the temp. thereof. Successively, the metallic material passes through the acid solution 20 in the acid-pickling vessels #1 la-#6 1f to remove scale on the surface. The acid solution 20 is washed with a spraying device 4 and the outlet side warm water vessel 3, and the moisture is removed with a drying device 5. At the time of stopping the conveying, the metallic material 6 of the steel strip, etc., is held upward from the acid solution 20 with a lifter 22. Gas exhausting flow rate adjusting valves 8a-8i in the exhaust ducts 7a-7i arranged to each vessel are adjusted so that the exhaust gas quantity at the outlet side of the acid-pickling device is made larger than that at the inlet side thereof. The dropping of the acid solution 20 bedewed on the upper covers of the acid-pickling vessels #1 1a-#6 1f is prevented and the excess acid pickling phenomenon is reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent an L-camber from being generated on a blank stock by providing crowns so that in each work roll its crown rate changes from a large crown rate to a small crown rate in sequence from the inlet side of a sheet to its outlet side. CONSTITUTION:When the longitudinal camber of the sheet 1 is straightened, the crown rate is made large on the inlet side of a roller leveler 3. Therefore, the crown rate changes largely in response to large intermesh and work rolls 2 come into linear contact with the whole width of the sheet 1. Since the intermesh is large, a large load acts on the sheet 1 alternately in the reverse direction and the camber is corrected over the whole width. Further, since the crown rate is small on the outlet side of the leveler 3, the crown is changed even by a small intermesh and the work roll 2 comes into linear contact with the whole width of the sheet 2. Generation of residual stress is prevented over the whole width of the sheet 1.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the chipping by detecting the travel distance of the drive side end face of a sliding drum shaft with a distance sensor, and calculating the knife gap based on a calculating equation expressing the relationship detween a preset travel distance of the knife and the knife gap. CONSTITUTION:A distance sensor 1 is mounted on the opening provided at the end plate 51 of a journal box 31 for journaling a drive side rotary shaft 28 of an upper drum 22b. Then, the travel distance of the end face of the rotary shaft 28 of a sliding drum shaft 22b is detected. A distance signal from the sensor 1 is inputted to a knife gap calculating device 2. The knife gap is calculated based on the following equation expressing the relationship between a preset travel distance (l) of the drum shaft and the knife gap (t):t=l tan beta(beta is a helix angle of a helical gear). The calculated knife gap is displayed on a display device 3. Thus, since the exact amount of travel of the drum shaft 22b can be grasped and the knife gap is displayed, an adequate gap can be set, and the chipping and dull edges of a knife can be reduced.
