SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a thermally conductive sheet having a carbon fiber content of 5 to 50% by volume comprises a process of making a carbon fiber sheet having substantially no matrix resin by arranging carbon fiber bundles composed of carbon fibers having a thermal conductivity of 50 to 1,500 W/mK in one direction and bonding the bundles by heat sealing fibers so that they do not separate, a process of obtaining a carbon fiber sheet or a laminate material by laminating two or more sheets in such a manner that the orientation angle of each carbon fiber bundle is in the range from +45 to -45 degrees with respect to a specific direction and a process of cutting the formed material obtained by impregnating the single carbon fiber sheet or the laminate of the carbon fiber sheets with the matrix and curing it in the direction vertical to the specific direction.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a carbon fiber, by which the pitch-based carbon fiber having a high strength even in a high elastic modulus region having elastic moduli exceeding 600 GPa can industrially simply be produced.
SOLUTION: In this method for producing the pitch-based carbon fiber, comprising melt-spinning an optically anisotropic mesophase pitch and then subjecting the obtained fiber to an infusibilizing treatment and a carbonization or graphitization treatment, the pitch is passed through flow-contracting portions approximately linearly disposed in the inlet portion of an introduction hole, expanded in the introduction hole, contracted, and then passed through an extrusion hole to spin the pitch. Thereby, the strength of the pitch-based carbon fiber can be improved by the easily industrially applicable technique without needing a special pitch and without needing a special treatment on the production of the fiber.

Thereby, since the same productivity as that of a carbon fiber having multi-fineness is kept in each step of spinning, infusibilization, carbonization, and the like, production of a carbon fiber having low fineness is finally made possible, and the carbon fiber having low fineness can industrially and inexpensively be produced in good productivity.

SOLUTION: A fiber reinforced composite material made tapered hollow shaft containing reinforced fiber of 200GPa to 1,000GPa elastic modulus is generally composed of at least two layers of an askew crossing layer 2 and a straight layer 3. As a prepreg used for the askew crossing layer 2, a unidirectional prepreg is used. As the reinfoced fiber used for the prepreg, that of 200GPa to 1,000GPa tensile elastic modulus is used. As a prepreg used for the straight layer 3, the unidirectional prepreg is preferably used. As the carbon fiber used for the prepreg used for the straight layer 3, that of 5GPa to 156GPa tensil elastic modulus is generally used as an essential constituent. Further, the carbon fiber has preferably 0.8 to 5GPa tensil strength in order to maintain the bending strength.
