    • PURPOSE:To recycle thoroughly sand and to simplify a sand treating installation disposed in series with 3 units of rotary reclaimers by supplying intermittently the sand to said installation. CONSTITUTION:The sand to be reclaimed is supplied to the 1st bucket elevator 20 and after the sand is treated with the rotary reclaimers 24, pulverous powder, etc. are removed therefrom in a classifier 25 and the sand is sent to the succeeding stage by the 2nd bucket elevator 27. The sand is supplied intermittently at about 3-5t/hr rate and the treatment is completed simply by passing once the sand through 3 units of the rotary reclaimers in series. After the sand is supplied for several seconds at about 3-5t/hr rate, the supply of the sand is stopped for a prescribed period and the rotary claimers 24 are rotated. The sand in the fixed layer on the inside walls of the drums and shelves of the reclaimers 24 is rubbed and the collision and rubbing are individually repeated by the circulation motion during the time when the sand stagnates in the drums and shelves. The sand is thus reclaimed. The reclamation of the sand is thus completed with one time of the treatment by selecting adequately the rate of the time for the intermittent supply without the need for repetitive use of the installation.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a molding sand classifying device which suppresses the destruction of sand grains and does not degrade the quality of reconditioned sand by peeling the deposits of the original sand surface by the intercontact effect of a direct grinding effect of an inclined rotating rough surface and indirect agitating. CONSTITUTION:An oscillating plate 12 which is fixed to a driving shaft 10 and is embedded in the original sand 20 starts oscillation motion when the original sand 20 is charged from a charging pipe 7 of an agitating vessel 2 and the driving shaft 10 is driven by an electric motor 13. On the other hand, the pressure air supplied through a blast port 5 from a blower to a blast chamber 4 is ejected from vent ports 6a of convex projections 6b of a fluidized bed 6 into the agitating vessel 2 to push up the original sand 20 deposited on the fluidized bed 6. The original sand 20 partly comes into contact with the rough surface 12a of the oscillating plate 12 and receives the dynamic pressure in a perpendicular direction. The original sand 20 of the other part is brought into frictional contact with each other by oscillation of the oscillating plate 12. The intercontact effect of this direct grinding effect and the indirect actiating contributes peeling of the deposits 21 of the surface layers of the original sand 20. The separated deposits 21 are pushed up to a classifying vessel 3 through a regulating plate 16 by the ejected air flow and are captured from a discharge port 17.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the reconditioning of casting sand in good efficiency and a high recovering ratio while restraining the power consumption by connecting the inner peripheral surface of a cylinder part arranging a plurality of radiative holes with the circumference of a round plate part, rotating the obtd. rotary drum, stirring the used sand charged on a fluidized bed and detaching stuck material. SOLUTION: The inner peripheral surface of the cylinder part boring plural radiative holes is connected with the circumference of the round plate part to obtain the rotary drum having cross section of I-shape or U-shape. This rotary drum 12 is disposed in a stirring vessel 2 at the lower part of the box-type body 1 in a casting sand reconditioning apparatus and rotated with a motor 13 through a driving shaft 10. The used sand 20 is charged on the fluidized bed 6 and stirred while fluidizing with the rotary drum 12. In this way, a part of the used sand 20 is stuck on the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder part in the rotary drum 12 with the centrifugal force and the annular fixed layer is formed with radiative holes as the center and the stuck material is detached by allowing the used sand 20 on the fluidized bed to frictionally contact with the fixed layer. The reconditioned sand is recovered from the lower part and the stuck material 21 is guided to an upper classifying vessel 3 through a regulating plate 16 with the rising flow and discharged into a dust collector from a gas exhausting hole 17.
