    • PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently separate an org. solvent in a gas by cooling the org. solvent-contg. gas to solidify the solvent, and separating the solidified solvent from the gas. CONSTITUTION:The gaseous org. solvent generated in a generator vessel 5 is introduced into a treating vessel 1 by a suction fan 9 from an inlet pipeline 8 along with air. Meanwhile, a liquefied refrigerant (e.g., liquefied carbon dioxide) in a refrigerant storage vessel 12 is injected and supplied into the treating vessel 1 from a refrigerant supply pipeline 13. As a result, the liquefied refrigerant is instantaneously depressurized and gasified to form the gaseous refrigerant at a temp. far lower than the solidifying point of the org. solvent, and the inside of the treating vessel 1 is cooled. Consequently, the gaseous org. solvent and steam in the treating vessel 1 are solidified, accumulated in a storage part 15, and appropriately introduced into a water separation vessel 17 from a discharge port 16. The solid is heated in the vessel 17 by a heater 18 to form water and a liq. org. solvent, and the mixture is separated into the water layer and the liq. org. solvent layer by gravity. Only the liq. org. solvent is drawn off from a solvent outlet pipe 19, and recovered. The air and gaseous refrigerant are discharged from the treating vessel 1 through an outlet pipeline 10.
