    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing wash-free rice by which rice bran layers are relatively easily removed without lowering in quality, and cooling equipment can be minimized. SOLUTION: This method for producing wash-free rice comprises the following process: a process of charging unpolished rice having a flavor layer at its husk part and a rice bran layer covering the surface of the flavor layer into a washing tank 13 together with a predetermined amount of water; a process of converting the rice bran layer to a viscous fluid-state coating film through stirring the brown rice in the washing tank together with the water to make the rice bran layer absorb the water; a process of peeling the viscous fluid-state coating film from the surface of the brown rice through supplying a predetermined amount of liquid carbon dioxide to the washing tank from a liquid tank 11 followed by stirring the liquid carbon dioxide in the washing tank; a process of leaving flavor layer-exposed polished rice in the washing tank through discharging the peeled viscous-state coating film from the washing tank together with the water and the liquid carbon dioxide; and a process of obtaining wash-free rice through taking the polished rice from the washing tank to dry it. In the method, the viscous fluid-state coating film is removed from the water and the liquid carbon dioxide discharged from the washing tank, and the water and dissolved matters are separately removed to recover the remaining clean liquid carbon dioxide into the liquid tank 11.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating waste plastics in which production of crystalline organic materials such as terephthalic acid or benzoic acid due to excessive decomposition is prevented, resulting in prevention of choking and corrosion of the apparatus, easy temperature control and reduction of treatment cost. SOLUTION: The treatment apparatus comprises an oil-bath 13 which stores waste plastics 11 containing a chlorine-based polymer, an ester-based polymer and a hydrocarbon-based polymer and an oil maintained at 280-320°C, and a mixing impeller 14 provided in the oil-bath which agitates the oil in the oil-bath so that vertical convection current may not be produced. A removing port 13a is provided in the upper part of the oil-bath, from which are removed desalinization residues 26 that surface in the oil, waste plastics 27 that are not liquified, and a liquified oil 18 of the hydrocarbon-based polymer. An oil outlet 13b is provided in the lower part of the oil-bath, from which is discharged liquified oil 17 of the ester-based polymer that sediments in the oil. The desalinization residues and the like are thermally decomposed in the furnace body 33 of a heating furnace at 400-550°C to produce oil steam. A condensation tank 16 which surrounds the oil-bath and stores oil 38 reduces the temperature of the oil steam to 300-400°C, and maintains the oil in the oil-bath at 280-320°C.       SOLUTION: A washing apparatus is provided with a liquid tank 11 which stores liquid carbon dioxide, a washing tank 13 which is constituted so that matters to be washed 12 on a surface of which contaminants stick can be held therein and the tank can be tightly closed, a liquid feed pump 14 which forcibly feeds the liquid carbon dioxide to the washing tank, a separator 19 which separates contaminants from the liquid carbon dioxide discharged from the washing tank and a discharging pump 21 for returning the liquid carbon dioxide from which the contaminants are separated into the liquid tank. Further the washing apparatus is provided with a gas tank 36 for storing pressurized gaseous carbon dioxide and washing nozzles 37, 38 which are provided so that the liquid carbon dioxide can be turned to dry ice or dry snow by the gaseous carbon dioxide and can be injected to the matters to be washed. A washing method comprises a process of removing the contaminants by injecting the dry ice or the like, a process of washing the washing tank by filling it with the liquid carbon dioxide and a process of separating and removing the contaminants from the liquid carbon dioxide and recovering it into the liquid tank 11.
