摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a high quality laser beam by controlling an adverse effect of heat generated from a gain medium. SOLUTION: The laser gain medium includes an optical medium which transmits a laser beam and has an incidence plane, a first surface, and a second surface facing the first surface. A plurality of first surface side gain media which amplify the laser beam are bonded to the first surface of the optical medium. At least one second surface side gain medium which amplifies the laser beam is bonded to the second surface of the optical medium. A plurality of first reflecting surfaces, i.e. the surfaces of the plurality of first surface side gain media facing the first surface, and a second reflecting surface, i.e. the surface of the second surface side gain medium facing the second surface, form the optical path of pumping light which enters at a predetermined angle from the incidence plane and travels zigzag. The gain medium is divided into a plurality of sections, thereby a large gain can be achieved by multistage amplification and heat generated in the gain medium can be distributed and controlled. SOLUTION: The sensor unit comprises an emission part for emitting a laser beam into the gas passing port, the reflecting mirrors for reflecting the laser beam arranged to oppose reflecting faces thereof in an insertion port to reflect the laser beam, and a light-receiving part for receiving the laser beam transmitted through gas. The sensor unit is installed in a flow passage of the gas, receives by the light-receiving part the laser beam emitted from the emission part after passed through the gas flowing in the gas passing port, and analyzes a gas component contained in the gas, based on the received laser beam, to find a concentration of the gas component. The reflecting mirrors are held by a reflecting mirror holder to constitute a reflecting mirror cassette, and the reflecting mirror cassette is inserted into the insertion port formed in the sensor base to be fixed.
