    • PURPOSE:To maintain an optimal operating condition, by housing a filler in a permeated box, placing the box in a tower and partitioning chambers by plates projecting from the box to provide an aeration section and a treated water draining section. CONSTITUTION:A permeated box 2 is placed in a column. The interior of the tower is partitioned by plates projecting from the box 2 to the inside surface of the tower. A filler packed section 3 is provided in the box 2. Aeration sections 4a, 4b and treated water draining sections 5a, 5b are provided in the tower. Waste water is supplied from a pipe 8 into the aeration section 4a and mixed into circulating water 13a so that the waste water is diluted and flows into the packed section 3. Air 6a-6b is supplied to the aeration sections 4a, 4b. The dirculating water 13b flower down in the packed section 2 and undergoes microbic treatment. After the circulating water reaches the bottom of the tower, the water enters into the treated water draining sections 5a, 5b so that the solid and liquid in the water are separated from each other and the liquid overflows through a pipe 9. Excess microbes 14 exfoliate from a filler and stay at the bottom and are then discharged.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain treated water of stabilized quality by detecting ammonia concentration and flow rate of waste water introduced into a dipping adhesive biotic membrane treating unit and controlling the air amount to be introduced into an aeration chamber based on the result of detection. CONSTITUTION:Waste water is introduced from a tube P1 into an aeration chamber 1 to aerate the waste water with air from the tube P3 and to introduce the waste water from the tube P2 into a dipping adhesive biotic membrane treating unit having a module unit 3 so as to purify the waste water by the operation of microorganisms. The purified water is returned through the tube P5 into an aeration chamber and treated water is drained from the tube P4. The ammonia concentration in the stock waste water is detected by a detector AE, and flow rate is detected by a detector FE1 to feed detected values to an arithmetic unit CC so as to control an air introduction amount control valve V1 based on the calculated result. However, the flow rate of the circulating water is retained always constantly by the detector FE2 and flow rate indication control meter FIC.

    • PURPOSE:To produce a circulating flow of a liquid and contact a gas with the liquid at a high efficiency by a method wherein downwardly extending pipes are connected to a perforated plate provided in the interior of a tank main body and a gas diffuser is provided below the lower openings of the pipes. CONSTITUTION:The perforated plate 3 is fitted in the interior of the tank main body 1, and hollow pipes 5 are connected to the perforated plate 3 in such a manner as not to project above the plate 3. The diffuser 2 is provided in the tank main body 1 below the lower openings of the pipes 5. A gas introduced through the gas diffuser 2 forms gas bubbles, which contact with the liquid and then moves up to a place beneath the perforated plate 3 without entering the pipes 5. Then, the gas bubbles pass through the holes of the plate 3, and after rediffusing, they flow downward into the space below the plate 3 through the pipe 5. Accordingly, since the circulating flows of the gas and the liquid are generated, the efficiency of mixing is enhanced and the mixing time is shortened, resulting in an effective gas passing type agitator.
