    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control device, which is capable of controlling an increase of a matching man-hour while suppressing a control map capacity, and capable of achieving a torque control with high accuracy based on the efficiency of combustion, without depending on various operation conditions and variations including an intake and exhaust VVT.SOLUTION: A torque calculation means performs a torque correction by using the thermal efficiency and the characteristic of a torque curve, which can approximate the relationship between an ignition retard value and a torque generating efficiency by a quadratic function. The torque calculation means includes: calculating a correction coefficient considering an effect of a combustion state change for the change of the intake and exhaust VVT or the like, and an effect on a control operation point; and performing the correction for the change of the intake and exhaust VVT or the like, with respect to the thermal efficiency and torque generating efficiency as well as MBT.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of preventing discharge of unburned exhaust gas into air and restricting deterioration of exhaust gas due to lean combustion when stopping drive of a fuel injection valve in an operating condition wherein the valve closing timing of an intake valve is controlled to a retard angle side to reduce a pumping loss.
      SOLUTION: In the case wherein an engine 10 is operated at a low load and the valve closing timing of an intake valve is controlled to a retard angle side, when a fuel injection valve control section 21 confirms that fuel injection prohibiting conditions are satisfied, the fuel injection valve control section 21 makes an intake valve opening/closing control section 24 change the valve closing timing of the intake valve to an advance angle side. The fuel injection valve control section 21 continues drive of the fuel injection valve so that a basic quantity of fuel is injected to be supplied once in each cylinder, and thereafter, stops drive of the fuel injection valve. With this operation, the fuel injection valve control section 21 makes an ignition control section 23 ignite the air-fuel mixture to a cylinder to which fuel is injected to be supplied.
