    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of overload protection in a motor which is controlled for drive in various speeds with an existing inverter with the motor being driven exceeding the allowable current range until the primary current of the motor reaches an overload current limit value, because the motor is controlled under the condition that the overload current limit value is set to the constant value which is almost equal to the maximum current value in the current range, and also to solve the problem, when the overload current limit value is set to a value which continuously changes for the motor drive frequency with amount of data and amount of calculations of microcomputer of the control circuit increasing, to result in cost increase. Moreover, an overload current limit value setting unit is provided to set an overload current limit value, depending on the motor drive frequency outputted from the inverter main circuit to a value which changes stepwise, having a plurality of steps.

    • PURPOSE:To properly detect the temperature of a scroll compressor installed therein when an air conditioning unit and the like has some abnormality by detecting the temperature of an electric motor using a temperature detection means disposed in the position of the outer surface of a sealed housing which corresponds to the electric motor. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detection means 41 having a temperature switch as its main part is disposed on the outer peripheral surface of a sealed housing 6 and in a position corresponding to the stator of an electric motor 7. If the temperature detection means 41 detects that only the temperature of the electric motor 7 continued to rise over a long period of time, rotation of the scroll compressor is stopped as soon as the temperature of the electric motor 7 reaches a predetermined value. The temperature of the electric motor is thus detected by the temperature detection means disposed in the position of the outer surface of the sealed housing which corresponds to the electric motor, and when the temperature of the electric motor portion has reached the predetermined value the temperature detection means is operated to stop operation of the scroll compressor, so burning of the electric motor and damage to the compressor mechanism can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce the pressing force and scrolls applied to a fixed scroll and the warp of a base plate and suppress the excess sliding loss by arranging the outer peripheral sheet face of the fixed scroll and the outer peripheral sheet face of a frame in contact with each other, and providing an elastic member having elastic force in the axial direction between both sheet faces. CONSTITUTION: The outer peripheral sheet face 15 of a fixed scroll 10 and the outer peripheral sheet face 5 of a frame 4 are kept in contact with each other, a partition wall 20 partitioning a sealed container 1 into a high-pressure space 21 and a low-pressure space 22 is provided, and a cylindrical projection 24 protruded downward is provided at the center of the partition wall 20. The projection 24 is slidably coupled with the inside of the cylindrical projection 19 of the base plate 13 of the fixed scroll 10, and a seal member 26 is stored in a recess 25 provided on the outer periphery of the projection 24. Plate springs 27 having a quartered laminated structure are provided to elastically fit the fixed scroll 10 to the frame 4, one end of each plate spring 27 is fixed to the fixed scroll 10, and the other end is fixed to the frame 4 by a bolt 28 respectively.
