    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a tape path and to mount a more miniaturized mechanism having reliability secured by reducing tape damage during the loading/ unloading of a magnetic tape and reducing a gap between a cylinder and a cassette to a limit.
      SOLUTION: The upper part of a cylinder 38 is cut off, a T3 post 51 as a tilt post is integrally provided between a T1 post 46 as a tilt post and a capstan 50 in a capstan housing 52, the drooping of a cassette lid is prevented by the upper part of the capstan housing 52 and, further, the tape guiding member of each tape traveling system is optimally positioned and supported, and thus a highly reliable and very small magnetic recording/reproducing device is provided.
