    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectually slug scattered ash and tiles and pebbles at a low cost. SOLUTION: A storage chamber 20 is provided at an upper portion in a burning melting furnace, which is arranged at a location extended to the outside from an internal wall surface of the burning melting furnace 3. A distance H between a bottom surface of the storage chamber 20 and a slug discharge hole 21 in the burning melting furnace bottom part is set to be 5m or more. A screw feeder 23 rotated by a motor 22 is mounted on the storage chamber 20, and the screw feeder 23 has a conveyance inlet 24 in the upper part thereof. Scattered ash (g) is conveyed into the conveyance inlet 24 when an opening/ closing door 25 is opened, and is conveyed to the storage chamber 20 with the screw feeder 23. The scattered ash (g) is compressed at this time, to form a scattered ash compression part which is further heated with combustion heat in the burning/melting furnace. The melted scattered ash flows down along the internal wall surface of the burning melting furnace to form slug in a water tank 11.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent melting and slugging of an ash fraction and the like from failing owing to insufficient temperature upon combustion of produced low temperature carbonization gas and char by removing water in a waste and then thermally decomposing the waste. SOLUTION: A heating medium from a conduit 21b such as air is introduced into a dryer 1, which is used as a heating source to heat and dry water in the waste. The waste after dried is carried with a carrier 3 to a thermal decomposition reactor 4 for thermal decomposition. For a drying method, there may be used a direct heating one for directly introducing air of the heating medium to a waste or an indirect heating one for indirectly heat exchanging the waste and air of the heating medium, or a combined one. The heating medium containing water vapor after the use in the case of the direct heating method and the combined one and the water vapor produced in the indirect heating method are introduced into an outlet side of combustion waste gas from a combustion melting furnace 9 through a conduit 21c, and odor components are combusted and removed. A part of the water vapor and the heating medium may be properly introduced into the combustion melting furnace 9 through a conduit 22 to prevent excessively high temperature in the furnace.

    • PURPOSE:To grind adequately even with a liquid at a comparatively higher boiling point, control heat generated in a solid as an object to be ground or crushed, prevent sufficiently the object from degrading qualitatively due to qualitative alteration or odor and effective component dissipation, and allow the adequate grinding and crushing of a solid which is technically difficult to grind and crush on account of the softening, deformation and fusion of the object, thus widening the selection range of types of liquid to be used. CONSTITUTION:A space for grinding and crushing action between a rotary blade 5 and a fixed blade 6 is decompressed using a decompression device 13 such as a vacuum pump. Further, a liquid such as water is sprayed into the space, and a pressure is applied to a solid 7 by rotation of the rotary blade 5 to grind and crush the solid. The decompression is adjusted to such a degree that the temperature is lower than a temperature at which it is impossible to grind and crush the solid due to the qualitative degradation of the solid 7 by its temperature rise or the softening, qualitative alteration and fusion of the solid 7 by its temperature increase, and the boiling point of liquid such as water lowers. The quantity of the liquid is to be determined by the total surface area of the solid 7 or a ground and crushed product to be obtained in accordance with the type of the liquid.
