    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator that can be loaded in a narrow space between a vehicle body and a bogie of a railroad vehicle even when the actuator is equipped with a hydraulic pressure source.
      SOLUTION: This actuator A is equipped with a cylinder C interposed between the vehicle body B and the bogie W of the railroad vehicle, and the hydraulic source 1 for supplying fluid pressure to the cylinder, and tilts the vehicle body B with respect to the bogie C. The actuator A is provided with a flow passage 14 for connecting two pressure chambers R1, R2 in the cylinder C, a damping force generating element 15 provided midway of the flow passage 14, an opening and closing valve 16 also provided midway of the flow passage 14, a drain passage 17 for draining back pressure of a valve element 16a in the opening and closing valve 16, a normally opened first switch valve 18 provided midway of the drain passage 17 for selectively releasing and shutting off the drain passage 17, and a second switch valve 19 also provided midway of the drain passage 17 for selectively releasing and shutting off the drain passage 17.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator for a vehicle body inclination of a railway vehicle having an advantage of a conventional actuator, hardly transmitting the disturbance of vibration or the like inputted from a track to a vehicle body even if the railway vehicle is in a control pendulum mode, and not causing the deterioration of riding comfortability by simultaneously being provided a hydraulic cylinder and a damper function and actuator function. SOLUTION: The actuator is provided with a throttle valve 3 comprising a control valve provided in a division flow circuit 2 for making a rod side communicate with the bottom side of a hydraulic cylinder 1 and capable of varying a flow rate of working oil flowing in the division flow circuit 2; and a controller 9. The controller 9 determines deviation between a predetermined target expansion/contraction amount of the hydraulic cylinder 1 and an actual expansion/contraction amount of the hydraulic cylinder 1, and cooperation-controls a feed amount of the working oil to the hydraulic cylinder 1 and a feed amount of the working oil to the throttle valve 3 based on the deviation.       SOLUTION: This brake device for rolling stock is equipped with an output cylinder for displacing a brake shoe with respect to a brake member, and switches an actuation direction of the output cylinder by switching a delivery direction of a pump driven by a motor 20. The brake device for rolling stock is further equipped with a regular brake control unit 52 for controlling the motor 20 at actuating of a regular brake by electric current from the regular power supply, and a security brake control unit 56 for controlling the motor 20 at actuating of the security brake by the electric current from a security power supply.
