    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store history of abnormal heating even if a battery control system fails or does not operate, by storing the history by non-electric means when abnormal heating occurs due to overcharge or overdischarge, to confirm the history of abnormal heating at anytime thereafter, and to prevent occurrence of such a situation that the history of abnormal heating cannot be confirmed due to outside environment or secular change.SOLUTION: A secondary battery includes a battery body constituted by housing a positive electrode and a negative electrode in a battery container, and a thermal history storage sheet produced by filling a sheet-like enclosed container which is at least partially translucent with a thermosetting resin precursor material which becomes a thermosetting resin by heating and the transparency of which changes. The thermal history storage sheet is applied tightly to at least a part of the outer surface of the battery container so that the translucent part faces the outside to the battery container.

Thereby, the water electrolysis apparatus can reduce the amount of the Pt-black particles 19 used in the hydrogen pole catalyst layer 12A, and has also a water electrolysis performance equal to or more excellent than a conventional one.
