    • PURPOSE: To remove the refrigerant sticking on a steel wire rod to a permissible value or below without wasting washing water by providing means for operating the necessary flow rate of the washing water in accordance with the washing characteristic of the steel wire rod, detecting the actual flow rate, and controlling the flow rate of the washing water.
      CONSTITUTION: The necessary flow rate of washing water is calculated by a calculator 8 in accordance with the diameter of a steel wire rod (d), a conveyance speed (v) and the permissible value X
      0 for the remaining amt. of the refrigerant sticking on said rod in a control device for washing which removes the refrigerant sticking on the wire rod by washing. The output from the calculator 8 is determined as a target value, and the flow rate of washing water is controlled by operating a flow rate controller 12 for the washing water and adjusting a control valve 14 so that the actual flow rate of the washing water detected by a detector 13 for the flow rate of the washing water coincides with the target value. The excessive use of the washing water is thus obviated and even if the wire diameter and the conveyance speed change, the refrigerant is removed always to the permissible value or below.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insure a target cargo handling quantity regardless of unevenness of cargo handling or cargo collapse by providing a detector detecting the drilling load of a drilling part in the horizontal direction, and managing the lateral feed speed of an unloader so that the drilling force detected value by the detector becomes a prescribed drilling force target value. SOLUTION: A cargo handling quantity setting part 9 computes a lift force target value based on the sort of load and a target cargo handling quantity set by an operator, and output to a lift force computing part 10. The lift force computing part 10 proportionally and integrally computes so that a lift force detected value is equal to the target value, and outputs a correcting quantity against a drilling force target value and the reference value. The drilling force reference value is obtained by previously investigating a steady value against a rated cargo handling quantity for example and proportionally computing according to the target cargo handling quantity set by an operator. The drilling force target value corrected in this way is output to a drilling force control computing part 11. The drilling force control computing part 11 computes and outputs a lateral feed speed command value to a drive device 12. The drive device 12 operates an unloader main body 16 for cargo handling.

    • PURPOSE:To control adequately the temp. of a refrigerant even if conveyance of a steel wire rod is interrupted for short time when an operating condition is changed in a method for controlling an installation which subjects the steel wire rod after hot rolling to a direct heat exchange by specifying the control when the conveyance of the steel wire rod is interrupted and resumed. CONSTITUTION:A steel wire rod 1 in a looped state is immersed in a refrigerant, for example, molten salt 3, in a cooling vessel 2 and is thus cooled. The refrigerant 3 heated by the wire rod is circulated between the vessel 2 and a heat exchanger 5 by a pump 4 so as to be subjected to a heat exchange with cooling water 6, by which the refrigerant is cooled. When the final end of a preceding material 1 passes through the vessel 2 owing to a change in an operating condition such as a change in a wire diameter, a calculator 14 applies the target value T2 of the refrigerant temp. in the vessel 2 calculated from the input data for the operating condition of the succeeding material to a temp. control device 7 by which a flow rate adjusting system is controlled until the temperature detected with a detector 8 attains T2. The quantity of the heat extraction is thus decreased as far as possible while the supply of the water to the heat exchanger and the circulation of the refrigerant are continued. When the front end of the succeeding material passes through the vessel 2 and the temp. detected with the thermometer 13 rises to the permissiblemin. temp. or above, the refrigerant temp. T21 on the inlet side of the vessel 2 for the succeeding material calculated by the calculator 14 is applied to the device 7.

A lower limit operator 16 controls a signal 15 for the set value of the flow rate of the washing water so as not to fall below the lower limit value of the flow rate of the washing water determined by the operating condition. A controller 10 for the flow rate of the washing water controls a control valve 12 by receiving the set signal 15 and the signal from a flow rate detector 11 interposed in the washing water flow passage. As a result, the flow rate is controlled while the limit value of the flow rate of the washing water is maintained under said operating condition by the operator 16.

T2' of the refrigerant 2 calculated in an arithmetic device 9 and the temp. T2 and controls a cooling rate control device 10 so that the temp. T2 attains the target temp. T2'. The device 10 regulates the cooling of the refrigerant 2 in the heat exchanger 5 by regulating the water feed valve 11 for the cooling water 6 thereby maintaining the temp. of the refrigerant 2 in the tank 1 constant.
