    • PURPOSE: To secure highly accurate position detection and positioning, to provide a stable output for the change of a gap and to reduce cost for construction and maintenance. CONSTITUTION: On the side surface of a mobile object 3, two cylindrical magnetic sensors 4a and 4b are arranged at a prescribed interval Ls. As a detection panel 1, a magnetic substance having lateral width Lp longer than the interval Ls inside the sensors and shorter than the interval outside the sensors is used and installed at a target stop position on the ground. The detection panel 1 and the magnetic sensors 4a and 4b are installed at correspondent positions and when the mobile object 3 passes through the side part of the detection panel 1, the detection panel 1 and the magnetic sensors 4 are faced to each other leaving a prescribed gap. Positioning control is performed by detecting the position of the mobile object 3 based on the difference of output values from the magnetic sensors 4a and 4b. As a result, the effect caused by the gap can be canceled and the output value decided only by the distance in the moving direction is obtd. and high-accuracy position detection and positioning can be performed.

    • PURPOSE:To execute the intelligence management of plural plants at a remote location centralizingly by registering intelligence for fault diagnosis to a database software, connecting a computer to a central management center at a remote location with a communication line so as to revise the intelligence on the database from the center. CONSTITUTION:A diagnostic intelligence is stored in a database 1 so as to store and extract an intelligence revision tool freely via an inference engine 3 or a communication software 2. The inference engine 3 grasps the state of a plant via a process input 4 and outputs the result of fault diagnosis to the operator via a resulting output 5. A telephone line, e.g. is used for a communication line 7 to connect electrically the center and the plant at a remote location. The center uses an intelligence revision tool 6 to revise the intelligence of the plant at a remote location as if the center were installed at the site. Thus, the intelligence of the maintenance personnel is not required to be resident in the plant at site and a skillful expert manages plural plants timely in the center.
