    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the concn. of ammonia in exhaust gas after treatment by providing a counter-current absorbing tower on an introducing side and a parallel flow absorbing tower which perform the gas-liquid contact with an absorbing soln. when at least sulfur dioxide and ammonia in exhaust gas are removed by the gas-liquid contact with the absorbing soln. SOLUTION: Untreated exhaust gas A and the absorbent slurry in a tank 21 jetted in a liquid column state from a spray pipe 4 are subjected to gas-liquid contact treatment in the counter-current absorbing tower 22 on an introducing side provided so as to upwardly extend from one side part of the tank 21 receiving the supply of an absorbent slurry to absorb or collect dust or ammonia along with sulfur dioxide. Thereafter, the exhaust gas led out of the introducing side absorbing tower 22 and the absorbent slurry in the tank 21 are again subjected to gas-liquid contact treatment in the parallel flow lead-out side absorbing tower 23 provided so as to upwardly extend from the other side part of the tank 21. By this constitution, the exhaust gas passing above a partition wall 24 to flow in the lead-out side absorbing tower 23 does not almost contain ammonia or sulfur dioxide and the remaining dust is collected and removed in the lead-out side absorbing tower 23.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flue gas treating method in which the concentration of ammonia in flue gas after treatment is kept low by using a small-sized gas- liquid contact device provided with both a concurrent flow absorber and a countercurrent flow absorber. SOLUTION: A gas-liquid contacting device is provided with an introducing side tank 21 into which a liquid absorbent is fed, a concurrent flow introducing side absorber 2 installed extended upward from the introducing side tank 21 and for subjecting untreated flue gas to gas-liquid contact with the liquid absorbent in the introducing side tank 21, a bring-out side tank 22 arranged adjacent to the introducing side tank 21 and into which a liquid absorbent is separately fed, and a countercurrent flow bring-out side absorber 3 installed extended upward from the bring-out side tank 22 and for introducing flue gas brought out from the introducing side absorber 2 to subject it to gas-liquid contact with the liquid absorbent in the bring-out side tank 22. By using the gas-liquid contracting device, fly mist is removed from flue gas before flowing into the bring-out side absorber 3 to return it to the introducing side tank 21, and also pH of the liquid absorbent of the other absorber is controlled to a low value (for example, 4.0-5.0) at which ammonia is hardly diffused into flue gas.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flue gas treating method by which flue gas desulfurization and dust removal are realized with a smaller equipment structure, at low cost and more effectively and a device therefor. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a liquid absorbent feeding tank 1, an introducing side absorber 2 having the fixed sectional shape which is installed extended upward from one side thereof and in which slurry is jetted upward in liquid columns from plural places in the horizontal direction to bring untreated flue gas into gas-liquid contact with liquid absorbent in the tank, and a bring-out side absorber 3 having the fixed sectional shape which is installed extended upward from the other side and in which slurry is jetted upward in liquid columns from plural places in the horizontal direction to bring flue gas brought out from the introducing side absorber 2 into gasliquid contact again with the liquid absorbent in the tank. One of the introducing side and bring-out side absorbers 2, 3 is made a concurrent absorber in which flue gas descends, and the other of the introducing side and bring-out side absorbers 2, 3 is made a countercurrent absorber in which flue gas rises. The flow passage sectional area of the concurrent absorber is made smaller compared with that of the coutercurrent absorber so that high flue gas flow velocity desirable for dust collection and gaseous SO, absorption may be obtained. The flow passage sectional area of the coutercurrent absorber is made larger compared with that of the cocurrent absorber so that flue gas velocity preferable for gaseous SO2 absorption in the gas-liquid contact of countercurrent type may be obtained.
