    • PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of performance of a reaction denitration catalyst and to enable long term safe operation by using a dust removing apparatus having a section packed with pellet material and passing waste gas through the section. CONSTITUTION:The waste gas discharged from a garbage incinerator 11 is passed through an electric dust collector 12, and then sent to a dust removing apparatus 13 comprising an adsorption tower 14 packed with pellet-shaped packing material 15 prepd. by depositing at least one material which melts at 250- 400 deg.C waste gas temp. Poisoning material for the catalyst contained in the dust is captured by the melted material. The packed material is taken successively out of the packed tower, regenerated in a heating apparatus 23 and circulated and fed to the packed tower. Furthermore, washing water is fed from a nozzle 16A to wash the packed material, and waste washing water is collected in a tank 19. The waste gas having passed through the dust removing apparatus is treated in a denitration reactor 27 to remove NOx.

    • PURPOSE: To wash and re-activate a catalyst capacity of which is lowered by the accumulation of a poisoning substance, in regenerating a catalyst used in gas treating reaction, by a method wherein the catalyst is washed with an ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid solution and the washed catalyst is dried.
      CONSTITUTION: When the activity of a catalyst is lowered in reaction for treating an exhaust gas generated by burning coal or petroleum, the flowing of a treating gas is stopped while a nozzle 2 is provided in opposed relation to the opening surface of the gas passing orifices of a reaction tank 1 and an ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid solution from a washing water tank 5 is used as washing water 3 to wash the whole of a catalyst layer 1. By this method, a poisoning component accumulated in the catalyst is eluted and the activity of the catalyst is re-activated.

    • PURPOSE: To regenerate a catalyst effectively and economically, in regenerating a catalyst used in gas treating reaction, by a method wherein the catalyst is taken out and washed in a water tank while air is bubbled into said water tank from the lower part thereof.
      CONSTITUTION: When the activity of a catalyst is lowered in reaction for treating an exhaust gas generated through the combustion of coal or petroleum, the catalyst 1 is taken out from the apparatus and transferred into a water tank 5 to be washed therein. At this time, the catalyst 1 is formed into a pack or a block to be provided in the water tank 5 so as to leave a proper interval from the bottom surface thereof while a bubbling pipe 6 having plural air orifices is set between catalyst packs or catalyst blocks from the bottom surface of the water tank 5 and the catalyst is washed while small gas bubbles are released from the air orifices. By this method, high washing power is obtained and the catalyst reduced in the capacity thereof can be regenerated.

    • PURPOSE:To always prevent the adhesion of dust to the end surface of the gas inlet side of a catalyst and the inlet side of a gas passing orifice in good efficiency, by consciously generating turblence in a gas stream in the gas inlet part of a parallel type catalyst. CONSTITUTION:To the upstream side of the end surface 171 of the gas inlet side of a parallel type catalyst 17 arranged in a denitration apparatus 15, a gas stream disturbing plate 20 is arranged over the almost all cross area of the denitration apparatus 15, that is, the reaction tank 15' so as to provide a gap S of 5-50cm. In this structure, the stream of an exhaust gas flowed into the tank 15' in a laminar stream (a) is almost equally disturbed over the almost entire surface of the tank 15' by the plate 20 and the disturbed stream is directly impinged to the aforementioned end surface 171 of the catalyst 17 to remove dust adhered to the end surface 171 and the inlet side of each gas passing orifice 172 of the catalyst 17. In addition, the exhaust gas is contacted with the inner wall of each passing orifice and rectified to be passed therethrough. This method does not necessitate a large amount of air and stream as in a conventional method while a soot blower apparatus becomes unnecessary and therefore, this apparatus is extremely economical.
