    • PURPOSE:To regenerate and reutilize used mold members which are heretofore discarded by welding backing plates to the four corners of the mold members of which the copper (alloy) clad material on ferrous base plates is worn, disposing fresh copper (alloy) thereon and subjecting the same to diffusion welding. CONSTITUTION:The copper (alloy) 2 existing on the surface of the respective ferrous base plate materials 1 of the mold members A, B and C is removed entirely or except part thereof. The backing plates 4 of the box shape made of the same material as the materials 1 are partially attached and welded 5 to the four corners of such members A, B and C. The members A and B as well as C and C as a couple are diffusion-welded. The fresh copper (alloy) 6 and 7 are then disposed on the tip and bottom via an intermediate insertion plate 8 coated with a release agent 9 and further any of the members A, B, C is disposed thereon. The assembly is pressurized by a pressurizing body 10 in a vacuum or inert gas to join securely the copper (alloy) 2 and the fresh copper (alloy) 6, 7 and thereafter the copper (alloy) 6, 7 are hardened by a heat treatment. The plates 4 are removed and the copper (alloy) 6, 7 are finished by which the regeneration of the mold is completed.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a braking plate of a rotary body being light in weight and excellent in heat radiating property by providing curvilinear or rectilinear through holes in the direction parallel to the surface of the braking plate of the rotating body. CONSTITUTION:Two outside discs 10 are prepared by using a steel plate having high thermal conductivity for promoting the radiation of heat, or by using a carbide plate when abrasion resistance is required. On the other hand, two inside discs 11 are prepared by using a material such as steel, and curvilinear or rectilinear grooves 12 each having both ends opened in the outer periphery and being formed parallel to the surface of the disc 11 are provided on the faying surfaces of the discs 11. By joining these four discs, a braking plate of a rotary body having three-layer clad structure and having through holes formed on the central discs 11 is obtained. Since the through holes are formed, a gaseous body is made to flow in therethrough from outside with rotation, bringing about a large cooling effect, and these through holes can make the plate light in weight.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the attachment of a shapeless container, to simplify its structure, and to reduce the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A holder stores and holds a flexible shapeless container for storing the liquid having a spout on its upper portion. It comprises a bottomless cylindrical body portion 51 with an opened lower end and a truncated-pyramidal shoulder portion 52 extended from an upper end of the body portion, a guide groove 54a directed from its center portion to an end portion is provided on a top wall 53 of the shoulder portion 52, and a hole 52a for tiltation connected to the guide groove 54a is formed in a side wall. After the shapeless container is inserted from an opening at a lower end of the body portion 51, an upper portion of the shapeless container is tilted making use of the hole 52a for tiltation, and the spout is pressed into the guide groove 54 in a manner where an edge of the guide groove 54a is inserted between two projecting pieces provided on the spout of the shapeless container.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indifinitely shaped container which is excellent in functional, mechanical and physical characteristics requested for the monolithic container in which a liquid such as a beverage is filled, free from the damage of the liquid such as the beverage to be filled, and small in manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: In an indifinitely shaped container 11, a part of a specified width of an opening part at both ends of a cylindrical laminate film in which an outermost layer is formed of a heat sealable film, and an innermost layer is formed of a heat-resistant film not to impair the taste of the liquid to be filled, is returned inwardly to form returned parts 16, 17, and the returned parts 16, 17 are heat-sealed to form a bag. The laminate film any be formed by forming the heat sealable film of a polystyrene or polypropylene, forming the heat-resistant film of polyethylene terephthalate, and holding a nylon therebetween.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the wear resistance of the inside surface of a continuous casting mold made of a copper metal and to prevent the wear thereof by an ingot by thermally spraying a metal having the coefft. of thermal expansion approximate to the coefft. of the thermal expansion of the inside surface of the mold onto the inside surface of the mold and further cermet or ceramics, etc. thereon. CONSTITUTION:The continuous casting mold is made of the copper metal having large heat conductivity and the lower part on which the solidified steel ingot slides is mainly formed of the metal 2 such as 18-8 stainless steel, 'Hastelloy(R)', 13Cr steel or maraging steel which has the coefft. of thermal expansion approximate of the coefft. of thermal expansion of the mold and is joined thereto as a backup metal by a diffusion welding method, etc. A hard layer 3 consisting of ceramics or cermet, etc. is formed thereon by a thermal spraying method. The wear resistance of the inside surface of the mold 1, particularly the inside surface in the lower part on which the solidified steel ingot passes and slides is thus improved and the service life of the mold is extended.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a casting mold having an excellent wear characteristic and lubricating characteristic and a long service life by forming a composite dispersion plating layer costituted by compounding wear resistant particles and solid lubricating particles having adequate grain sizes at a specific ratio each with an Ni-P or Ni-B alloy on the inside surface of the mold. CONSTITUTION:The composite dispersion plating layer constituted by using the Ni-P alloy or Ni-B alloy as matrix for plating of the plating material and compounding the wear resistant particles and solid lubricating particles having 0.1-40mum average grain size at 20-60% by volume of the plating film therewith is provided on the inside surface of the casting mold which contacts with a molten steel and ingot in the mold for continuous casting consisting of copper or copper alloy. The particles of Al2O3, Cr3O2, TiN, etc. are used for the above- mentioned wear resistant particles and graphite, MoS2, etc. are adequately used for the solid lubricating particles. The plating layer is formed by electroless plating and is preferably subjected to a heat treatment to improve adhesiveness. The wear resistant characteristic and lubricating characteristic of the above- mentioned casting mold are thus improved and the life thereof is extended.
