    • PURPOSE:To make a smooth flow of fluid at a flat tube and increase a cross sectional area of a flow passage by a method wherein the flow passage of the flat tube is separated by corrugated inner fins into a plurality of segments and the fins are formed with some irregular portions having a specified size. CONSTITUTION:Corrugated inner fins 52 and 53 are inserted into a chamber portion of a fluid passage 51. The corrugated inner fins 52 and 53 are formed with a plurality of corrugations 52a and 53a in such a manner that the flow passages 54 and 55 are separated into a plurality of segments along a longitudinal direction of the chamber. The fins 52 and 53 are formed with some irregular parts 71 and 72. Thickness of raw material plate of the corrugated inner fin 52 is set to 0.15mm to 0.3mm. Thickness size X of the projection 72 is set to 1. to 2.5 times the thickness size of the recess part 71W. Pitch Y of the irregular surfaces is set to one to 2.5 times the thickness size of the raw material. With such an arrangement, strength of the corrugated inner fins 52 and 53 can be maintained, a flow of fluid can be made smooth, a heat transfer characteristic can be increased and its surface area can also be increased. Pitch Z of the corrugated segments 52a and 53a is set to 6 to 16 times the thickness size of the raw material plate. With such an arrangement, when the plate 42 is connected to it to form a flat tube 41, its pressure withstanding strength can be sufficiently assured.

    • PURPOSE:To cut the flat tube without accompanying a fine powder like chip, by arranging a holding member which holds the outer peripheral face of a flat tube in the state of almost adhesion at the part excluding the cutting place thereof and which is provided with the guide pass in which a cutting edge member is inserted from one end of the outer peripheral face of the flat tube over to the other end and the discharging pass from which a chip is discharged. CONSTITUTION:A guide pass 23 is aligned to the specified length position with a flat tube 3 being inserted into the penetration pass of a holding member 2, holding members 2a, 2b are clamped and the flat tube 3 is fixed with its adhesion. Then a cutting edge member 1 is inserted along the guide pass 23 and pressed to the other end from one end in the main axis direction of the flat tube 3, the flat tube 3 is cut with its being sheared between the blade 11 formed at the slope side of the cutting edge member 1 and the edge of a flat tube penetrating pass 21. The chip equivalent to the blade thickness formed in this process is cut off with its becoming in two small pieces and discharged downward via a discharging pass 25.
