摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform miniaturization by overlapping a light guiding display plate and a solar battery panel light receiving surface. SOLUTION: The display surface of the light guiding display plate 1 and the light receiving surface of a solar battery 3 are overlapped. The large part of sunlight made incident on the light guiding display plate 1 reaches a solar battery panel 3. Power generated by the solar battery panel 3 by receiving the reaching light is charged to a secondary battery 5 and the power is supplied from the secondary battery 5 to a lighting device 6 and a timer 7. Charging is smoothly performed from the solar battery panel 3 to the secondary battery 5 in the daytime. At night, the lighting device 6 is operated and a straight tube type fluorescent lamp 2 is lighted. The light emitted from the straight tube type fluorescent lamp 2 is made incident from the end face of the light guiding display plate 1 and reaches the other end while being multi-reflected inside the light guiding display plate 1, and during the time, the light exposed to a display part 4 printed on the back surface of the light guiding display plate 1 and formed by paint is diffused and reflected, emitted from the surface side of the light guiding display plate 1 to the outside of this display device and visualized.

The generated ultraviolet ray excites a fluorescent body layer 3A and is converted to the visible lights of three primary colors R, G and B, and irradiated from a light irradiation part 4. Since, in the irradiation part 4, each of R, G, and B is arranged contiguously, and an image element E is constituted, the light color is synthesized by controlling the voltage application to each dlectrode 5Aa, 5Ab, and a desired color light is generated and irradiated from the image element E. Accordingly, if a device is constituted of the image element E, a color image can be displayed distinctly.

Next, the light is reflected uniformly in the prescribed direction from the surface S1-S5 of the plate 5c with directivity in a surface emissive condition, and since the light illuminates a desired desk top surface of a desk body uniformly and effective by means of light distribution with sharp directivity, the direct light never enter eyes, so that fatigue caused by glare is hardly felt.

Also the appearance of the mirror can be improved.

CONSTITUTION:Light guide plates 12 of different size are stacked to form a light guide panel 13. A reflecting plate 15 is provided for reflecting light transmitted through the light guide panel 13. Incident light 14 emitted from the lamp 11 is transferred to the inside of the light guide panel 13 and reflected by the reflecting plate 15 and emitted to the outside as a uniform face light source. Simple and compact face illumination can thus be obtained simply by use of one light source as a point light source.
