摘要： PURPOSE:To construct a large-scale underground space by a method wherein recessed part is excavated with a copy cutter before the excavation reaches a specified section of a tunnel and the excavation is progressed further with movable protuberances thrust into the recessed part, and concrete is cast between projected parts of deformed segments and a structure. CONSTITUTION:A recessed part D is excavated with a copy cutter 6 that is thrust out and retracted. A temporary seal plate 21 is installed to a tail plate 18 with a jack spacer 15 removed, and an air bag type seal 22 is inflated and is put against the plate 21 and movable protuberances 12 are thrust out toward the recessed part D. Then a shield jack 14a is extended and, at the same time, a sliding type protuberance 17 is thrust out with a receiving member 16 moved to the jack 14a side, and the seal 22 is pushed into a space outside standard segments S. After this, the tail plate 18 that is removable and the temporary seal plate 21 are removed. Thereby work can be executed with greatly improved workability and safety at low costs.

CONSTITUTION:A branch section 2b is provided in the middle part of a tunnel 2 having line sections 2a and 2a, and a road 3 passing through the line sections is constructed. After that, the road 3 is branched into roads 3a and 3b at the branch section 2b, the road 3a as a single road is connected to a tunnel 5, and the road 3 is branched into a road 3b extending linearly in up and down directions of a section of the tunnel while widening the width thereof and a road 3a connected to the downward tunnel 5. The branched road 3b is moved upward of the branch section 2b to connect to the line section 2a, and the road 3a is moved downward to connect to the inside of the tunnel 5. According to the constitution, up and down spaces of the tunnel 2 which are not normally utilized can be utilized.

CONSTITUTION:A covering body 1 is installed by the assembly of segments according to the boring of a leading tunnel A. A flat plate-like segments are assembled at the connection part and a temporary partitioning board 2 is provided. Backing 3 such as low strength mortar or bubbled styrene is applied to the back of the wall 2, and backing filling 4 is applied thereon. A succeeding tunnel B is bored from the slant direction to the wall 2, and into the outer periphery of meeting part of the tunnels A, B, a supply pipe, freezing pipe 5 are inserted to improve the ground. After the removal of the wall 2, both tunnels A, B are connected. The construction cost can be saved accordingly.
